One of the best things (including subsequent posts in the same thread) i ever read anything coming from the UK. Even as some “facts” were disputable…
I mean the only thing i enjoyed whilst visiting the UK were their fantastic BLT sandwiches. But to be fair: The IWM in Duxford was worth a visit.
Been grinding Brit lately. Wouldn’t say the challies are bad , they are good enough but I don’t like how slow them all. Beside that they are pretty enjoyable. Also can we get better SPAA ? If possible , the adats without a gun really doesn’t look that good.
About naval , despite everyone saying that naval isn’t worth playing. I would like to see more british ship in the game as well. Battleship class like Elizabeth class, Nelson class,… Really want to see Warspite and other popular ship in the game
Britain is a better tree than people think, I’ve converted a few people from my squadron over to playing Britain because 4.7-10.7 is great
Id love to see the 32pdr centurion (with APDS) and a rework of the FV4005 making the HESH shell have the punch it really had, removing the incorrect coaxial MG where the sight actually was and fitting the roof mounted .50 cal
Give harrier GR7 ASRAAM missiles when the hornet gets added and move it to top tier too

Scimitar (late)
higher HP diesel engine from stormer
Thermals
Camo net and cope cages
hopefully they fix the bad suspension and remove the FCS (there never was one on scimitar)
Ajax, the replacement for warrior and its closer to service than challenger 3

The Churchill VII should go to 4.3 instead of its current 4.7, it wouldnt make much of a difference in its armors capabilities and it would make the gun feel slightly less awful.

The 75mm feels like a spud gun above 4.0. half of your opponents you literally cant kill unless its point blanc
Tbh this would be solved if they just make HESH more consistent and APDS along with other shell type more consistent. Would definitely drag more player to Britain. The mobility is still there tho , can’t do anything about
the problem is that gaijin DID make it more consistent, for a couple weeks in the summer it did consistent damage and punched like it really would (obliterating a T-90 from the upper plate and nuking anything without composite) gaijin mentioned it in patchnotes and the next update they secretly reverted it back to being a worse HE. APDS just suffers from 10 year old spaghetti code and very old damage models on some tanks like the IS2
I mean FV4005 is the lightest gunned centurion variant so ought to be the fastest moving and chieftain (mk5 and mk10) could get up to speed pretty well, the later leyland L60 engine was pretty competent despite its horrible start

That just minor nation life i guess , can’t have anything in britain.
I am talking about it in general tho , especially the top tier MBT. Britain aint that nice when it come to speed. While it is not as bad as I would make it out but really limit what the challies can do or the ww2 to cold war tank can do
After how we destroyed every BR from 6.7 to top tier with the fox (which is pretty mediocre compared to a BTR or XM800) I cant see us ever getting something like that again, the scimitar should have been a slower more controllable fox but we got a fox that’s less controllable and slower than an M60. being a minor nation just means that older stuff that’s in an unfair BR get forgotten like the hunter and vampire.
Its nowhere near as bad as most think, the TES/OES is heavier than a Tiger 2 so its going to be slow. CR2s main problem is that it (like every NATO tank to keep the USSR competitive) has its armour and ammo nerfed to 1980s era performance. Its speed is a worth tradeoff for how survivable they all are. I love seeing KA52 players dump every ATGM at me and just get hitmarkers or nothing if I’m in Black Night

If they did this, it should be with a separate variant of the GR.7 so that one stays the current BR with the current playstyle.
Here’s my issue with the UK: They have an excellent air force and history there but gaijin has decided that their entire rank5-8 air bracket basically needs to be 0.3br above whatever the closest ussr/usa equivalent is.

Challies need their actual round and a BR decrease, also for tanks like the Arietes
and good god the M113 ADATS is ugly
Tbh the shell is possible but the whole BR decreasing seem extremely unlikely. For obvious reason and the SPAA problem. Yeah… Like every nation need better SPAA considering we just got a new batch of new CAS. Minor nation moment

Why would they receive both a buff AND a downtier? Did you think that through?
The round on the Challenger 2 is the worst at top tier… bringing it up to par with other top tiers wouldn’t do much, hence the downtier due to their lack of armor and speed

Yeah in no universe does a vehicle get a buff AND a downtier. You would buff and then see what it does.
Also, the realist in me is screaming to tell you that if gaijin already doesn’t seem to plan to buff the challengers or downtier them, they are certainly not going to do BOTH of those things.
Gaijin won’t do both, but we could hopefully get one :)
The Chally, even with an upgraded round, would just be a much worse Abrams
