The better solution would be to add the Harrier Gr9A with ASRAAM.
Not only does that leave the Gr7 in place where it already is. But the Gr9A gets a better engine and HMS. Even without ASRAAM that is gunna be quite a good aircraft. But with. Would be awesome. Especially if the Harrier Gr7 and Gr9 get their 6x AAM loadout they are currently missing.

Like making BOL 1/4 the IRL effectiveness just screwed most of our top tier fighters and a year on, nothing. No fixes at all. Not even a comment from the devs about why they were nerfed so much.
Honestly. They need both or at least, they sort of do.
They 100% need an overhaul of their armour, increased ready rack size and a few other fixes. Including L27A1 buffs. Maybe even a reload rate buff.
But even with all that, most of them should probably not be 0.3 BR away or from or even the same BR as the Leopard 2A7s. They arent even close. Full Challenger 3 would be though.
What is needed, is a decompress, I reckon you could spread the current 11.7 and 12.0 BRs over at least a full BR range, if not maybe more. That should… result in the CR2s being further away from the meta tanks than they are currently. As it stands, tanks like the CR2, Ariete, Merkava, etc shoudltn have moved last BR change and the Base CR2 should have remained at 11.3.
Depending on the extent of the buffs though. It could and perhaps should get a BR drop and buffs. (last time they “buffed” the challenger 2, they actually nerfed it)

The RAF never used Litening on either the Gr7 or Gr9. But the GR7 did use Sniper as well. So maybe when it gets added, it could come to the Gr7 as well. But I can also see them making it a “balancing decision” and leave the Gr7 with TIALD.
That being said. TIALD is meant to be Gen 2, not the current Gen 1.
Challenger 1, Challenger 2 and TIALD all use the same thermal imager, but only the Challenger 2 is Gen 2.

Brimstone 1s are underperforming. Probably should have much longer guidance time (which is the main range limiter) as well as other buffs like Prox fuse.
Then you have the SAL only decision, which I still think is kinda insane considering no one would have complained about forced limitations like making it LOBL (which is perfectly accurate for mode 2) and for smoke to effect it still
Then even if you insisted on the SAL only. The Brimstone 1s could be replaced with Brimstone 2s to give them much better range and speed. Would actually make them viable for SEAD, which they really arent currently.
and then finally you have the fact that they are only 9. Not the full 15 we should have with the Tpod.

They’d get mmV Spear-3s without any issue at all. Seeing the Su-34s just steam roll in GRB at the moment is really depressing. Especially for someone who mostly plays the Tornado Gr4 in modes like air sim where mmV is totally irrelevant to balance.

Good old heavy tanks with thick armour, which take forever to get to the objective area, then they die after 1 shot.
I mean if we being real here , the chance of them getting all of them , is small. I would rather take the better shell and bigger ammo rack cause by god. 4 shells is way to bad, that would not change the challies in the game but it would be nice to have
This is not doable since they still need an “equivalent” to other nation top tier despite the challies are def on par with some of there peer. This is not avoidable unfortunately
and its radar seeker ofc, but that’s allowing GB to overshadow both the US and Russia in CAS, and that’s forbidden unless there’s a brand new premium to milk the playerbase :P
Yeah… such a shame, especially for the air modes. That is my biggest complaint about the decision. It renders them essentially unusable in something in like ASB
