GRB I have the answear to all your CAS problems (WARNING THIS IS ANOTHER CAS POST)

Imagine that.

Are you ok mate? Are you tasting colours? You may be having a stroke

You brought up planes as a reason for planes to be in Ground Realistic Battles.

No, I’m not having a stroke. I’m just always amazed at the justifications people will use to excuse CAS in its current state.

Just amazes me how people refuse to adapt and prefer to cry on the forum

Yes it’s people’s problem to adapt to. Not the game’s design which is the problem, it’s always the player’s fault. Nothing is wrong with the game, move along.

Why do you post on this forum if you do not wish to discuss the mechanics?

If you want to defend the mechanic then do so. Blaming player skill as the sole reason for player frustration is disingenuous.

I would actually be fine with that one shot potential if they were glass cannons with similar tradeoffs as other TDs, like WW2 open tops.

Instead, they have amazing mobility, the gun handling is good, and so is the reload speed, plus they’re not actually “glass” because they are in fact very survivable.

You know me, you know I’m not in the historical matchmaker crowd and you know I don’t say something like this lightly, but I think they should all be sent up, and 6.0/6.3 should see the introduction of WW2 self propelled arty instead, if that’s what they want to do.

A machine that does well on all three major criteria of the performance triangle should not be bullying vehicles with more rudimentary capabilities.

Britain does not have much in and above that BR range as it isfor a line up

I do critisize the game all the time, when it’s a game problem. Here it’s a player problem.

Oh, I know. But also at the same time, Britain is missing plenty of its WW2 machinery still. That just needs implementing.

Because adapting would mean changing GRB into another air mode.

The best solution against air is air, meaning that no one should really focus on ground units

And spaa which is a ground vehicle. Fighters are just an alternative.

I started to use fighters now and they are way more effective against other planes. In more then 70% of the time you will be not able to prevent an enemy plane from droping its load on your team as a SPAA. As a fighter you can intercept those planes and on top protect your own bombing mates.
The best thing is when all comes together. Some players on the ground in SPAA and a few good pilots in the air can handle things easy.

How is it a player’s problem when SPAA is outranged by available CAS?

Not correct.
Fighters are sometimes the only way of countering something in the air.

I mean they aren’t that much armored, their main defensive strength are 6 crew and really thin armor that might stop APHE from fusing. That thing can be killed by .50cals and above easily, so their protection against strafing is abysmal, just like with WW2 open tops.

Most of my deaths in it happened when someone get mad they’ve been slapped in the face by 155mm HE, spawn a plane and kill my tightly positioned crew in a single strafe.

As I said above, their armor isn’t really good per se, but I agree with you, they can get pretty survivable.
Gun handling is so-so, but at least it has a turret, which can’t be said for many TDs at that BR range, so overall it’s not so bad.

I agree with you on that one, they seem to be really strong at 6.3, at least from my experience playing them. I would be surprised if M109A1 doesn’t move to 6.7 in the next BR changes.

SPAA is not Effective

Yeah, sure, dream about it.

Are tanks good against infantry? We see that at the moment on the Ukrainian front, the tanks are doing a perfect job, like the SPAA against the planes.

Stop repeating theories destroyed by practice. The SPAA are another target to harass for CAS: no armor, no good aim, slowness for a large part of them…

CAS are only good for ambushing a tank, the way they are used in the game doesn’t make them relevant. They are developed like arcade tokens, like all other land vehicles, but the planes are designed to be as realistic as possible from a gameplay point of view.

You should just repost this video every time someone tells you to “learn to fly” or “spawn SPAA” just because you point out CAS isn’t balanced. Literally no words needed other than the video itself and something simple like,

“I do. That’s exactly what my opinion is based on. What is yours based on?”

Clarity is important in life, and it usually begins by asking the right questions.

Subscribed, by the way. I would honestly love to see you German WW2 ground vehicles, just for the sole reason that I would surely learn a lot from watching that.
