StuG iii A has 30-50mm frontal armour, if you play it right it can tank many things. Pun unintended.
There is no radar for low tier tanks, if you are playing in game, if the enemy vehicle is in the view range of your crew (not you but your crew) or a friendly crew then the enemy markers will appear
I thought I would look at the stats after a mission. Do players keep countries at different BR so they can play lower tiers? I saw a player who was at level 100 and had 14k battle wins. No wonder its so hard to get to grips with the game, the player destroyed 12 tanks with no deaths.
I think I like the xbox because it auto locks onto a target
Most players will have lower br line-ups to play with sometimes. There are different reason for doing so. Personally, it is nice to relax at the lower tiers and play some tanks that i enjoy.
If you are a new player, at first the game nurses you and you get easier wins, so you get suckered in. Then you get to a point where all the gloves are off and you get the full wrath of the snail and the pathetic match maker. Watch your win rate drop and drop from this point on.
Also, if your crew skills are very low, the enemy will see you before you see them. Do not rush up the tech tree, unless you get some crew skills and learn the game. You are safer at a lower BR and it’s still fun.
Played AB air and ground till level 100 then started from scratch in RB from the bottom up (camo clearance as spade all).
Garnered enough knowledge and spaded vehicles to make MY experience a lot more worthwhile, which kind of smarts when you see so many really low levels trying to rush the game asap.
I dont think people try and rush, its just they are under the false impression that getting better equipment will make it easier for them. When in reality they do not stand a chance against players who have thousands of hours of play time with far superior crews and tanks. I think the game owners are probably loosing lots of customers due to constantly getting there arses kicked and then become disalusioned by the experience.
I think it is the fact that I didnt, and at the time (2015ish? My account is older but I never remember playing, just I must have made an account for some reason) that was the atmosphere I met in the game and continued with. Just like in Air RB when you played RB you got slapped, you then learnt and got better (In Air I notice people play where they like, not treating low as a starter zone which I have never seen as such).
I mean I check players I am with and hardly any seem to have the patience to spade anything, meaning they have rushed even past the quickest vehicles to modify.
I agree there is that false perception of power increased as you go up the trees (especially crazy dancing trees! 🎄), but this has always existed so I do not see why now people use this an excuse to sit on mid BRs with almost no experience (which in GRB means no aircraft therefore producing many of the CAS complaints we have now; poor use of aircraft ruining your own team, not having a simple fighter to stop enemy air).
Of course everyone approaches games their own way. I just see so much of the potential at each BR is wasted with all those well crafted vehicles to be pushed aside as a stop gap for a better area in WT, which is objectively the worst part of WT and historically always has been.
The last issue is that the game/vehicles are balanced by PLAYER performance, so in very popular nations it will make the reality of the balancing completely broken; Minor nations suffer, Major nations take the royal (generally). We see this in Air with US and Ground with Germany (low to mid mainly).
Yep, which is why I sit on 25 million SL and increasing. Spent some time years ago with Premium and Premiums and built up a store so I neved have to worry about it. Make the effort and we all profit!
I created a new account on xbox after I’d been playing for a few months on laptop. It was really noticeable how easy the play was for a while. Enemy tanks would drive by without noticing you, and I lasted a whole battle with one vehicle. I think I’ve been on the apposing team to a newby, I hit him 7 times without destroying him. I got destroyed recently in a weird fasion, on the replay one shot hit the open hatch on my terret and then shrapnel flew into the tank and killed the crew. Why would the hatch be open?
What possible enjoyment could a player possibly get whilst being at a level 100 having played 30k battles and playing in a BR1 match. That must be the ultimate seal club I have seen upto now.
That’s impossible, especially when the game takes dead kills from you in every game, which causes you to get killed for it, and it’s difficult to play without realizing that.
Considering you can’t tell what level someone is from the scoreboard or the killcam, you’re obviously needing to check more than just looking, so it’s absolutely ignorable…
Unless people keep on and on about how often it happens to them, causing others to keep looking to end up with ‘OH THERE’S ONE, I’M RIGHT!’ when they do actually find one…
It’s confirmation bias fed by negativity.
And why is it that the OP actually only has 2 battles on thier profile?
I only know that for a while now, I don’t know if it is because of the volumetric bullets, but in the game in almost every game the bullets bounce in areas where it is impossible, which causes the enemy to rotate the turret and kill you, thereby What at first was a kill for you becomes that you are dead because of the game. If it were a strange case, it wouldn’t be given much thought either, but it is something that happens almost every game and several times in the same game.
Stop being so negative and fixated on the fails you’re having because it drags you further into the assumptions that things aren’t ever going to work for you.
It also leads new players to be caught in the same old trap of thinking that way.
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right”
