“Oh no I’m doing bad IT’S OBVIOUSLY THE GAME PLOTTING AGAINST ME”
Get better at the game, learn how to play, don’t just go around accusing the game of plotting against you.
Ahaha this makes 0 sense.
Yup.
Yup X2.

So in theory your wasting your time getting better tanks, just stay on low tier and save yourself time and money. I’ve only done about 30hrs in british tanks so I thought I would try german tier 1, I lasted so long it was unreal.
When you first start out you definately last longer, it must be programmed in so you dont get disheartened too quickly. Instead when you start getting your arse kicked you think if I just get ‘spaded’ I will last longer or if I just get the next tank in the tree.
Kind of? But not really? There’s no scripting, as you call it, it’s just that, everytime you get a new tank, there’s always somebody better tank wise out there, unless you buy good premium, but that’s kind of the point.
With every new tank, the playstyle might change too, both because of your own tank and the enemy tank. So what you did with one tank, might not be viable with other.
The game’s progression is made so you would get encouraged to buy premiums, but other than that, things aren’t set against in you literal sense.
Whats that vehicle with a big gun on the back of a truck, I was going down the flank of a map, nothing on the mini map and no indicators in the distance and then splat one shot killed my sherman, went to the same spot with cromwell then crusader and got picked off with nothing on the minimap.
Can I use a fully trained crew on different vehicles.
Yes you can, you just need to use the same crew slot, do note that expert/ace crews are not transferred across vehicles
What is the point in training a crew, it doesn’t make any difference to the game, you get keen vision and ammo loading and nothing seems to change within the game.
I dont get this game, there is no learning curve, irrespective of what tank you use or how trained your crew is. You still get destroyed really easily from silly distances from tanks you cannot see through binoculars or minimap.
I had a play with the little swedish tanks and had way more fun.
it does make a difference, but only slightly, the Matilda ii has a normal reload of about 4 seconds, with a trained crew it is 2.2 seconds
So what about stuff like keen vision and vitality? Is it supposed to make you spot apponents better and not get knocked out so easily. If it does I can barely notice a difference.
Why is there a little glitch in the play just before your apponents appear.
Why do your apponents suddenly disapear when you respawn.
Does playing over wifi affect the gameplay
Can warthunder be played on xbox
In arcade and air realistic gamemodes it improves the distance that the red markers of enemies appear
That improves the HP your crew has (for tanks), when you don’t have any vitality upgrades usually any shot that hits your crew directly will kill that person, with fully upgraded that can withstand anything up to 12.7mm usually
don’t know what you mean
what
only your connection to the server, if ethernet is available I would recommend using that.
Yep
Not knowing what is going on is hte very definition of being at the start of the learning curve!! :)
stick with them for a while if you find them fun - that’s the best way to get moving along that curve! :)
I can tell when apponents are going to appear, I will be driving to the A point and the picture will momentarily freeze, or my vehicle will suddenly move differently. And then there are loads of red dots on the mini map.
If I die there could be 10 apponents near me, the moment I go to the respawn page they vanish and when I return everything has changed. It may be coincidental that they all get destroyed the same time as me.
Josephs_Piano I have about 30hrs of game play which is not much but I would of thought I would get the gist of what was needed to survive. Their must be a eureka moment when it all becomes clear. I think I will try it on the xbox, Can I log in and have the same progress or would I start from scratch.
Is there a thread/page devoted to newbies pulling their hair out with frustration. I wonder if I chuck shit loads of money at the problem does it go away.
I assume you are playing arcade, so its worth noting that spotting distance for markers in arcade is limited and iirc affected by vision crew skills. At long distances you will have to manually spot targets.
Well, there are a couple that make a notable difference in ground:
Targeting - notably improves effective traverse rate towards a target
Driving - makes the vehicle notably snappier to driving
Less noticable:
Reloading - its notable but not noticable unless you start accounting for trying to outreload similar enemy vehicles
Vitality - does occasuonally save you from certain penetrating hits, but more often than not it saves you from artillery in open top vehicles
Repair - does make repairing less tedious.
I do recommend stopping by the L62 Anti II. The autocannon allows you to correct range after first shots and its really good close quarters/flanking due to reaction time and reasonable speed. Just remember to use the AP belts, they have explosive filler, and not the highest penetration belts. (There is some learning curve dealing with shermans, but most targets are not hard to deal with)
There is the “the Academy” Section of the forum, it appears to have quite a lot of useful info, even for more veteran players.
And no, money does not save you problems.
Presumably the one spotting them (you), died and are nolonger spotting them. And if you are playing arcade, yes things change quickly. Even in RB you cannot expect things to be the same once you return
What exactly are you playing on? That sounds lile your system is struggling. Try lower graphics and see if that helps.
As for your other problems, I think there is a system in place were you only face low lvl players until you unlock rank 2 for the first time. Then you can face any lvl for the most part. That could explain why you suddenly are getting killed more often.
I’m using a inspiron laptop, not alot of RAM. I have a xbox s also. I’m going to try it on their see if my game play improves.
One thing I really dont get is I can see red indicators in the distance, but not close enough with my sights, I sometimes lob a couple of shells on the off chance I hit something, or even fire the machine gun in the area which will show a hit, then fire a shell. Half the time I’m getting killed by a tank half way across the map with a perfect single hit which I had no clue was there.
Will run the game better, but will make it harder to play, you need a separate account as well
I created another account using the xbox, started with a little german thing which has a 20mm gun. The game must use bots at first because I haven’t been killed yet and I ranked 1st. The aiming control is a bit sensitive, wonder if it can be dialled back abit.
Premium Panzer iiC DAK
Yes
Well done I’m proud
It took about 10 battles before the silly shot brigade started to show its face, like through a window across a few streets and one perfect shot.
I noticed the Stug seems to run around without much touching it so I will work towards that.
I thought I’d try something different. I took a 1.7BR tank into a 5 battle, it took more hits and lasted longer than my 5.
Im curious how does the radar work, is it supposed to pick up vehicles within a certain distance.
