Also Germany is also buying the Boxer NEMO 120 and the Boxer RCH155 with the difference that their RCH155 it’s equipped with an .50 cal RCWS wich they can use as their Main sight idk if britain plans on doing something similar

yeah just that the boxer finished development like 2008 and the first production series was delivered to germany in 2009, until 2018 the boxer has been built etc for multiple countries since a long time.

Uk “joined” in the sense that they started using them and developing their own modules, they have nothing to do with the boxer itself anymore realy

They added the LWS on top of the turret, even if it is advertised as having it on all versions of the turret, it wasn’t present in the first expo showings of the Boxer or in the pictures shown by KNDS. But then again, it was on the requirements set by the Dutch government for this specific vehicle.

And I have to say, the turret is surprisingly well modelled.

No APS? :/

why should it?

Would be nice for Germany to have a working APS :D

Acoustic Gunshot Detection would be dope to implement, possibly have it look like the HUD in like Fortnite (or a game like that), equalizer goes high when shot is heard

I am also not seeing the Falarick in that modification page :(

Just 1 word…
NO!

APS is only coming for mbts realy .
The only “german” lites with aps would be the tracked boxer with the 120mm turret or a lynx version

You think its for balance? I don’t see why they wouldn’t (couldn’t) have the APS on a light tank. If the machine has it why not ya know.
We have the MELLS, but we all know how that has been working for 2ish years ;)
Guess we’ll have to wait for MELLS2

No, I was just curious as to why they might do it, just thought-storming.

That’s because only Belgian or ukranian prototypes had it advertised. It wasn’t advertised for this Boxer variant, but is advertised for the Finnish/Belgian and Swedish/Belgian trialed CT-CV and XC-8 APC/turrets. This Boxer variant was only between Cockerill and KNDS. MECAR (Belgian munitions manufactorer) wasn’t involved.

But ultimately it’s Gaijin’s choice, as these modern systems are quite hard to get good info on. Generally it would make less sense to add it to the Boxer as it was never shown to use it.

The missiles I would be fine with, not like people would really use them…
NOW the APS and acoustic detection, was it shown to be on this specific version of the boxer?
IF it is, and they don’t add it, I would be upset.
IF it doesn’t utilize it, then obv I’d be okay with it not being in.

APS?
No, what we call APS in WT was not present on this model:

With the APS they mean features such as smoke grenades and smoke screens. Not the Iron fist or something similar. (although the Leopard 1A5BE one did trial it).

The acoustic detection isn’t present on 3105 turret prototypes, so that could not be added right now. Then again, that’s not a feature on any WT vehicle right now anyway.

yeah i can confirm in my investigation it had no aps whatsoever not even soft kill, at most it would have the lws

Tbf i wouldn’t be suprised if they didnt add acoustic detection as it would be a very specific system. It would probably be denied like the CV90120 Early as the auto directional smoke system was denied as they had no interest in modeling that system.
