Germany suffers and is not worth grinding at the moment

Me163 was OP years ago when it had its historically accurate climbrate then they nerfed it and added BI at a lower br and reduced its fuel to half now its basically unplayble

BF109G2 is the only decent Bf109 g model yet it gets beat easily by spits and yaks very easily at same br and guns are weak as hell

FW190D9 is mid its not crazy for 5.0 there planes that climb faster and gofaster than you your a mediorcre interceptor its sad plane dont turn well dont really maintain energy that well your guns are okay there kinda buns cause they dont have real shatter

there cas while good in GRB is completely outclassed by other props at same br its mostly carried by 50 mm 262 and arados not to mention cas doesnt matter in air RB

That’s not cause Germany is bad, it’s cuz Spits and Yaks are absurdly undertiered.

It’s basically F4U-4B but it’s 0.7 lower in exchange for worse turning. It’s one of the fastest planes at its BR.

The only nation with better prop CAS is USSR.

it may be fast but you can always be faster a plane can just dive on you and catch you the d9 is not good its mid compared to any other interceptor like P38 for example which is better in every way german air is pretty bad it takes a lot of skill to do good

easily america all there planes can carry large bombs and many rockets compared to a single 250kg-500kg on most fighters would say britain too purely cause there wyvern and there fighters carry some nice bombs too

these brs are all about who has the better prop and 75% of the time the enemy will have a better prop G2 is the only one who doesnt suffer as much as other 109s cause its good FM many super props out do german 109s at everything at high tier like Mk24 P51H5 for example or yak3u will all very easily out climb and speed and even turn a 109K4

P-38 is not good by any measure. Fw-190 out climbs most planes with the only real exception being the Spitfire.

If we exclude premiums, I’d say Germany is Better than Britain just on account of how many bombs can be carried, and Mk 103s.

As for America, I’d take one bomb and two Mk 103s over two or three bombs any day.

holy skill issue p38 not good ? are you okay ? best BNZ fighter for there brs and turn really well one of the first planes to break 450mph ? like what? like this is just pure rage bait interceptor spawn too there crazy good

No way you actually suffer when fighting P-38 of all planes . . .

ive played them they are very good compared to most german props they will dog walk you with a alt advantage your only chance is if your in a 109 and they turn fight you but they can just BNZ your nuts off and you will just be a duck

Yeah problem with that is most German players that use the 109 don’t understand that they need to climb to 3000-4000m and not stay low and try dogfighting

How can anyone die to a BnZ P-38 without being completely blind? Even the Fw 190 can pull hard enough to dodge a P-38.

Fw 190D-9 performs BnZ far better, having better roll, better firepower, better climb rate, and being faster in general.

Someone underestimates the P-38 :)

Nah, backstage just massively overestimates a mid-subpar plane.

They are overestimating it, it’s definitely not the biggest threat at it’s respective BRs
It’s of course not the best prop either but if played well its a threat to everyone.

It uses a non-meta strategy, and it’s not even particularly good at it. If a plane is only good when used by the best Warthunder players, then it just isn’t a good plane.

you do realise if everyone played the “meta” it’d just be Yak 3s vs Yak 3s.
The P-38 is pretty good at BnZ and turns suprisingly well, alongside not compressing too much at high speed.
It has an insane climb rate, can tank a few hits and has great guns. What’s not to like about it.

That is entirely false. It has terrible compression at high speed, its climb rate is average at best, and a single sneeze from even a .50cal or .303 will desintigrate it.

Fw 190D-9 handles compression far better, has better survivability (for numerous reasons) and has a far better climb rate.

I’ve flown the P-38L from the chinest TT recently, its climb rate is great, it’s compression really does not feel that bad, but thats my opinion on it.
And the damage model is suprisingly resistant to .50 caliber and some 20mms, of course it will die eventually.
I had a horrible time in the 190D-9, it doesn’t turn going fast or slow, it’s climb rate is exceptional but I couldn’t really find a way to utilise it. Personally, I’d fly the P-38L instead any day

Flat turning is the only thing Fw 190s do bad, and even then you can still take advantage of verticality to win in dogfights.

From my experience (both playing and fighting) the P-38s have a very strong tendency to lose the elevator after a single hit, catch fire and lose traction of control surfaces instantly, or just got pilot sniped. Same goes for F-82E minus the pilot sniping. Twin boom designs just tend to be very fragile due to Warthunder’s poor damage simulation.
