No. They shouldn’t remodel Mutsu. Instead they should give us a separate version of Mutsu in the lates ww2 configuration. Or at least a researchable modification where we could switch between early and later versions (that would change the BR as well).

Because WW2 Nagato is probably going to be the best Japanese BB for WT short range battles - and it’s premium… So we must get WW2 Mutsu in the tech tree.

Don’t dream impossible thing. Gaijin already saids only one configuration for one ship and no refit as researchable modification too. I also don’t think they are able to make BR difference with modification change.

Tragedy comes with Mutsu being the first 16’’ ship in the game. Those crown should go to Colorado and then Mutsu comes later with 1940 version or 1942 version.

How is that impossible? Just because Gaijin said at some point that they don’t want to do it,
that doesn’t mean they cannot change the opinion. If there’s technical issues with BR changing modifications, then they could give us WW2 version Mutsu.

It would be stupid to lock WW2 era Mutsu just because “they don’t want to do it”. And also I think WW2 version Mutsu had better armoured turrets than WW2 Nagato.

And there are still no reason to change it for Gaijin.
Remodelling has already done with CV-90105 so it is more reasonable for Gaijin. Also even when Mutsu remodelled to WW2 version there are still Tosa class available to be lineup with Amagi so remodelling of Mutsu doesn’t affect lineup severly.

Giving same ship with multiple configuration can also give problem to balance between trees too. OPness of Scharnhorst before, Soyuz now is only controlled by the fact that they don’t have backup ship. I don’t want Scharnhorst(1942) or Soyuz(Project on 1938) to be added on principle established if Mutsu comes in two configuration.

Oh no…

This hurts. IMO should’ve added Mutsu and Nagato in 1944 config but as part of a big update with KGV/Vanguard, SoDak, NoCal, Bismarck, littorio Richelieu etc…

Honestly this whole naval additions thing made no sense as if Japan also doesn’t have a multitude of options for sqns and premiums… like I dunno. The Tosa’s sister Kaga.

I have to wait till patch day XD

It would’ve been better for a Kongo at rank V premium and a modernized Yamashiro at rank VI premium, sparing Nagato from being locked behind a paywall.

I think they wanted a 16" ship for this which I can understand. But Amagi, wasn’t a standalone ship, neither was Tosa. You could’ve added one of them to give Japan a 16" ship without AA and then added another one as a premium later down the line after they added the refits of Nagato and Mutsu.

Those ships probably still would’ve been the best in the game when compared with KGV, Vanguard, Bismarck, NoCal/SoDak. And then the puniltimate update could’ve been Iowa, Yamato, SS, Lion, H-39/40 etc.

I just think they’ve gone about all of this wrong.

Adding insult to injury, Nagato 1944 will probably be a better ship in WT than Yamato due to the reload rate and better layout.

Later Yamashiro wasn’t an option with Gaijins naval policy, just one of each ship.

And another Kongo class (don’t know if any is left, not yet in game) would’ve been the weakest “top” premium of all, not worth a purchase.

Looks like you’ve got my message wrong. What I mean is Gaijin Should’ve planned ahead and made a Kongo class a rank V premium instead of a ww1 Yamashiro as I’m pretty sure Kongo herself was a top tier vessel when the Premium BB’s were first added and a modernized Yamashiro as a rank VI premium now, who already had a rank VI equivalent in the TT that is Fusou.

There are various opinions, but anyway, Nagato has appeared. I will be happy if I can see that castle-like mast.

I’m obviously not in the minority here, but seeing the Nagato as a premium is disappointing. And this is a regular pattern. The Prinz Eugen and Neloon are also paywalled. However, I’m personally more lenient of those being paywalled because their sister ships offer similar performance, whereas the Nagato is ostensibly better than the Mutsu… I understand Gaijin’s revenue has been falling, but still bro… sadge

Maybe if they made the gameplay better they wouldn’t have to make everything into $80 premiums because people would naturally want to spend money.
Personally, I’ve been in every R&R thread since BBs were first added hyping up Nagato and now that she’s here I just don’t think I can ever justify spending money to buy her now that they’ve ensured that EVERY BB aside from Iowa is nothing but Soyuz food. Crazy how they had a slam dunk premium for me and are still failing to sell me on it.

I don’t even understand why these battleships are $80 anyways. For other modes their justification is “$10 per rank”, but for naval they just stuck on $20 more for seemingly no reason. There’s even less content per rank, so arguably less value!
So now unfair pricing can be added to the existing issues of selling a premium objectively better than the techtree variant with no real equivalents left to add.

I think I’ll pass on this one, which is a shame considering Nagato was easily the battleship I was looking forward to most in this game

Literally everything you said came into my mind about 60 seconds after I saw the devblog. 80 dollars, and she’s going to see Soyuz 80% of the time, and I’m not getting the full benefits of having the premium since there’s so little to unlock, and they paywalled the only WW2 version of an 8-8 fleet ship in the game, AND she’s probably going to be the best ship in the tree.
Plus I’m not a fan of the pre-order benefits either, decal is neat but idk what to do with it. And the title sucks, sounds like something a Panzer IV or P-38 or, God forbid, an F-22 should have instead.

I hope Musashi is a tech tree ship, and not a silly event or battlepass

Don’t worry worry she will be a tech tree vehicle, the leaklist would’ve specified if she was a BP Premium (like Luigi) or an event vehicle (like the Flapjack).
