How do you play Yamashiro with its lack of penetration (assuming Hyuga/ Hiei suffer the same way)

Is that a 1942’ config w/o additional AA? Wouldnt it make it suffer more from CAS? (Currently on the way to Yamato… but guess would be stopped by Musashi)
this looks like the 1942 Musashi, but at BR 8.7 naval battlesbarely anyone spawns planes anyway

Beam 155s visible and there’s a lot of empty deck space, so before 1944. But I can’t tell from the trailer if she’s in the '42 or '43 appearance. Can’t see the radar on top of the rangefinder, but I think I can see what looks to be the 25mm mounts that were added.
Guessing '42, but could be '43 since the Model 22 radars are the only difference. Not like they let us use them anyway.

Or she gonna be put after Mutsu , which Yamato should have been put after Mutsu if we being real , or Amagi ?
You farm bot , that all you do. Only try to engage with other battleship when they are lower BR than you. Don’t try to duel gun , cause most ship at your BR and above can lol pen you.
The lack of AA doesn’t matter much since people doesn’t spawn in plane much and AI AA in warthunder are just broken. Your allies will most likely gonna take them down before they drop on you

She received radar in '42. She was commissioned and then immediately had the Model 21 installed. She got it before her sister, even.
ig we’re getting Musashi from the week or so she was in service but didn’t have radar.
Well, not right away, but only a month later… And as I understand it, they’re giving it to us right at the moment it goes into service, which is August. They only installed the radar in September.
I think that’s unlikely, as w have Shimakaze as asquadron vehicle in the bluewater fleet as well

I guess I’ll check it out and see how many AA guns she has. Maybe they made launch config but “accidentally” marked it '43?

What do you know, I was right when I said the deck looked like the '42/'43 version. Wonder why they made such a blunder in missing three radar sets.
Interestingly, while I couldn’t really see the radar on the model of Musashi, it does have air search radar in the test drive
