But they still can’t get IJN Takao 1944 and IJN Maya 1944 ;(
And already 6 years have passed
Not that hard considering they only managed to build 8.
Gonna be even easier for Gaijin to add every single 16" and 18" capital ship ever built. (I’m not counting the rest of the 8-8 fleet because they were never finished (as battleships/cruisers))
Still don’t even have Tenryu either :(
Can we see IJN Ōyodo, Gaijin.
I just like how she looks.
I would honestly have preferred Strasbourg (Gaijin will probably nerf her anyway as well).
Gaijin tend to do something bizarre when introducing tech trees for navies.
They started with Yugumo before adding others like the the Fubuki, Hatsuharu, Shiratsuyu.
They introduced Furutaka then skipped straight into Mogami.
The craziest being UK battlecruiser line where they went from Invincible straight into Hood
Exactly, where’s my HMS Tiger.
The funniest thing is that they gave the R class to the Soviet Navy before Britain itself… It’s just… it can’t be described in words.
I still want Warspite.
And god forbid if they don’t put her in the tech tree.
They have one, it just isn’t the “right” one. Great ship and a lot of fun though. One of my favorites to play.
I’d rather we get the Hiei in TT, but to each their own I guess. IMO it’s just too iconic.
My favorite cruiser. Good secondaries as well
I love her.
Her main guns are dual-purpose, same ones on the Mogami-class before they switched to 8" and also the secondary battery of the Yamatos.
Type 98s as secondary guns would slap hard.
I absolutely adore the Takao-class and Ooyodo. Such beautiful ships. Shame GJ hasn’t introduced them after all this time.
It’s really surprising we still don’t have a Takao, especially when they’re so iconic and we have all the surrounding classes.
And on that note, it’s odd the devs haven’t tried to capitalize on the popularity of Godzilla Minus One whatsoever. Unironically an awesome WWII naval related movie, and yet the only class we have (and already had) in WT is the No.13-class subchaser. Still not a single member Takao, Kagerou, Akatsuki, Minekaze, Matsu, Ukuru, or Sokuten classes. (We also already had the A6M5a, J7W1, and Chi-To.)
Movies aside, some of these are pretty glaring omissions (Takao, Kagerou, and Matsu especially).
t a k a o !
But seriously, yeah.
They’ve even added the more obscure Tone-class, which not that many people know about.
I would’ve expected the Takao-class to be here already.
As a random aside, wish triple 6" Tones had existed (like the Mogamis), the Tones are some of my all-time favourite ships and having triple turrets is the only way they could look cooler.
I see.
I am a sucker for ships that feature all-forward main gun armament.
So Tone-class, Ōyodo, Nelson-class, Dunkerque-class, Richelieu-class automatically become what I love.
You and I are quite alike, then. The Dunkerques and Richelieus are among my favorite battleships. The Tone is my favorite cruiser class of all time, followed by the Oyodo and Agano. I’m a big fan of the submarine/torpedo squadron leader concept the Japanese had, especially with the amount of floatplanes these ships used.
It would look cooler, but sadly those triple guns are only dual-purpose in name
