General Japanese & JASDF General Discussion

only for ammo boxes and ammo, just as the image shows, is 195kg, no other things, even considering the weight of the link, still can’t match, 240round of 30mm shells only got about 80kg, plus the link around 20kg, unless the boxes’ weight is heavier than the all of shells, but that doesn’t make sense, I’m not sure the exact number is like a Long-standing rumor as Tog II.

No. You took only projectile itself without cartridge. Full weight of round is 660g which give to us ~160kg.
35kg for boxes, links and metal belt is left
So it matches easily

Any news on F-1 finally getting ASM-1? China is getting their ASM but F-1 is still missing it despite being the intended aircraft to carry it to begin with and is already in the game since 2 updates ago

I said about ships before, but redacted because we are in JASDF Discussion

Then there’s no news )))

Why Gajin dont just copy& paste the damn Hawk 200 from indo for japan?
thats not even that hard

It’s the wrong Hawk,
Currently we’re getting the Hawk 200 prototype ZH200. It’s the 2nd prototype before the radar was mounted, and in it’s early configuration with the two 25mm ADEN cannons. To get the Indonesian Hawk 200 we’d need to have seen the Hawk 200 Radar Development Airframe ZJ201 :/

how would this feature work?
Continuing the discussion from AAM-4/Type 99 air-to-air guided munitions:

Missile warning systems would just detect the heat of the missile no? Or the speed of it if its a radar maws instead of an ir maws? How would it be undetectable?

Yep thats certainly a plane

what they asked for lol

IIRC this is about the AAM-4’s ability to change frequency while homing in to not be detected easily by an RWR

MAWS would still be able to detect it as a launch, but ones with sensor fusion would identify it as an IR missile due to them not detecting a radar signal.

Theres a few other minor corrections about the old suggestion, like the directional warhead doesn’t use the primary radar lock, it uses 4 seperate radar proximity fuzes.

What are the specs of the irst?

Has anyone already written a7m3-J 's suggestion before? I’m going to try to write that, let’s see if we can get that after 5 years…

Elevation -25/+70 degrees, azimuth +/-100 degrees, range 185km. Range finding + ECCM. Supports weapons slaving and sensor fusion.
