how would this feature work?
Continuing the discussion from AAM-4/Type 99 air-to-air guided munitions:
Missile warning systems would just detect the heat of the missile no? Or the speed of it if its a radar maws instead of an ir maws? How would it be undetectable?
Yep thats certainly a plane
what they asked for lol
IIRC this is about the AAM-4’s ability to change frequency while homing in to not be detected easily by an RWR
MAWS would still be able to detect it as a launch, but ones with sensor fusion would identify it as an IR missile due to them not detecting a radar signal.
Theres a few other minor corrections about the old suggestion, like the directional warhead doesn’t use the primary radar lock, it uses 4 seperate radar proximity fuzes.
What are the specs of the irst?
Has anyone already written a7m3-J 's suggestion before? I’m going to try to write that, let’s see if we can get that after 5 years…
Elevation -25/+70 degrees, azimuth +/-100 degrees, range 185km. Range finding + ECCM. Supports weapons slaving and sensor fusion.
I only plan to do it. He tried to write it Noveos_Republic , but he didn’t have the time or motivation, which is an indisputable excuse.
If needed, I can share my sources about A7M3-J with you

I would love to, but it seems Gaijin won’t spend time on these unfinished planes anymore. I have checked with someone who decided to do the same thing before, and he gave me a lot of sources, which is good enough, but we all get tired after I get to know Gaijin’s attitude. I have spent about 1 month on J2M before, but just not enough information and a suggestion.
J2M? Which variant were you working on?
Does it support arh missiles?
Yes
o7 thank you for your hard work
Wonder when we’re gonna see more WW2 era vehicles. For mainland Japan. Not the Thai sub tree.
J2M(type5), it is so hard to find documents as most books only record the 20mm versions, I have try to make Gaijin accept it has additional 20mm guns, but nothing for 30mm, which I expect will have more ammo.
Gonna correct you. “It is so hard to find’ PUBLIC 'documents.”
