This is the R400. It is currently at a BR of 9.7, which i find a little too high.
- 10.0 and higher
- It is alright at 9.7.
- 9.3
- 9.0
- 9.0 and lower
This is the R400. It is currently at a BR of 9.7, which i find a little too high.
any reason for that?
9.7 is pretty standard for a wheeled vehicle with thermals
thermals probably stops it from going down to 9.3, it’s fine where it is. The puma on the other hand could go down to 6.0 and still be rubbish
lol
thats it 16.0
The hull of PUMA is quite resistant against APHE, there was a time object 279 is seeing it and the hull actually resist br482b in most angles, even if it pens the fuze for some reason did not trigger, like so annoying.
No
Yes, but the armor is straight up nonexistent and it accelerates very slow, not to mention it very slow turret traverse and bad gun depression.
thermal is the only strong point of this thing.
Gun handling, reverse speed, gunner FOV, armour. All sucks. radkampwagen is 0.3 higher and way better and same BR as VRCC, my favorite tank.
So like the rooikat but with slightly worse gun depression.
Honestly I could see the R400 being perfectly fine if it got a slight reload buff. Something like 6.7s->6.0s would do well for giving it an advantage over the rooikat or vrcc.
You can blame gaijin not adding cvt
It should have 3-5 sec reload, but you know Gaijins rotten stinky dickhead devs just put every modern 105 to 6.7 sec
Not like im blaming you you retard
3-5s is utopian.
The turret R 400 uses is that of TH 301 // TH 301/A4, which Thyssen Henschel specifies a maximum RoF of 10rds/min (6s reload) for.
I tried reporting that but since its a manually reloaded tank, such reports being forwarded tends to be an extreme gamble as they can just pull the “muh balance reasons” card rather than forward the source as a reference for changes to reload rates as possible option.

The 10rds/min figure is actually for a whole minute of continuous reloading btw.
iirc they tested this at a speed of 20km/h on relatively even surfaces and TH 301 has a pretty good suspension. Idk how or if this figure would change if they tested it on the TH / H / R 400 chassis.
4.7
Poor performance overall;
As most wheeled vehicles in War Thunder the mobility is abysmal unless you’re very light (Type 93 for example); in this case, R400 shakes a lot back and forth for some reason, combined with poor vertical 5.6°/second is not very pleasant to play. Leopard C2A1 MEXAS is at battle rating 9.3 with the same ammunition selection in a much more reliable, durable and mobile platform, what really stops R400 of going lower?
Ask for the C2A1 to move up then
So like 6.7 sec reload with normal crew and 5.2 sec reload with max crew would be perfect?
I suppose it wouldn’t hurt if it went down to 9.3
