General discussion: Should the R400 be a lower BR?

I don’t see what prevents the loader from loading faster, especially when utilizing the rear turret rack

Right

Doubtful that this rack increases your reload speed by a lot as the loader first has to release the clips holding each of the shells in place. I cannot tell you how quickly this can be done but they cannot all be released at once beforehand either as that would result in the shells sliding out of the rack, which is obviously quite suboptimal.

And to be quite honest, the highest part of the rack doesnt look all that convenient to get shells out of either…

I am not against buffing R 400’s reload speed to make it viable, infact I am definitely in favour of it, but anything higher than 10rpm is essentially down to “I think its possible” based on an already generous (for the chassis that R400 uses, which is more unstable than TH 301 where the figure was achieved on) 10rds/min max. figure.

Also it’s not like Thyssen Henschel’s vehicle test-crews are unskilled either, it is quite literally their job to test the limits of what a vehicle can be expected to achieve with a properly trained crew.

Thus I think that an ace reload of 6.0s for R400 is fully justifiable as we can infact prove that it is within the reasonable capabilities of experienced crews to achieve such figures in this turret.

And having a 6.0s reload at 9.7 also provides a not insignificant advantage against virtually all other manually loaded tanks at the BR (and a few above) that are stuck with 6.7s ace.

Then maybe Gaijin should put a little bit of effort to make all tanks reload real, instead of making us discuss it
