It seems to be much better than crappy Rolands while being a single BR step above them, so I doubt it will stay there long.
In my opinion Rolands can easily drop down to 10.0 alongside Tunguska going to 11.0, which should be more than enough to balance them out.
There’s a saying in my country that goes “wheel of fortune is constantly turning” and I guess Gaijin likes to “turn the wheel” a lot, especially when it comes to SPAAs.
USSR was stuck with Shilka for years, meanwhile US had M247 and Sweden had VEAK 40, both of which are ridiculously more powerful than Shilka.
Keep in mind I don’t condone this behavior from Gaijin, but it is what it is sadly.
From my observation most maps have terrain cover (be it hills or just foliage you can’t track through) that’s ridiculously close to the battlefield, at like 4-5km of range.
USSR was also the first country who recieved SAM system aka 2S6 and they kept bein the only nation who had that privilege for a good time.
Not all of them are enough to basically mask your opproach safely, not to mention as soon as you pop out from cover you will get spotted by Pantsir easily, i know this cause i own that system and its ridicilously powerful compare to rest of the systems.
Overall cas is more high risk high reward at top tier compare to lower Br’s but i dont think giving Russians edge compare to other nations is healthy.
2S6 would be compeletly fine if they could just buff the missiles to 32G, instead of adding Pantsir you know.
True, but Tunguska was the only SAM in the game for ~2 months (single update), then ADATS and Rolands were introduced. Also, it was firstly added to the game without thermals and with a worse missiles.
Meanwhile, M247 was added in September 2019 (alongside helicopters that are basically a bane of non-proxy gun SPAAs), which is around year and a half before VEAK 40 and around four years before Strela.
M247 was hands down the best SPAA around that BR range for literal years, but it isn’t USSR so who cares, right ?
I’m not a fan of giving anyone an edge over others at any BR, but this is Gaijin after all.
I don’t know their plans, it will be interesting to see what (if any) SPAAs they’ll add to upcoming rank 8 Ground.
Knowing Gaijin, I’m afraid they’ll just increase it’s BR to something like 12.3 and call it a day.
In fact,before gaijin changed ATGM trajectory and other things,Shturm-S is more lethal than m247, the 6km VT-ATGM flying at 550m/s can defeat any helicopter in range at ease, it can be guided in 3rd personal view to avoid any elevation limit and strike unprepared planes efficiently.
You mean same bug reports you can find for Veak-40, Heat-Mp on abrams,Otomatic or Strf40 family?
We both know those vehicles anti-air rounds doesnt work hundred percent all the time, in fact any people who uses them knows this.
There are more then hundreds of videos on YouTube who proves this situation but im pretty sure there is no bug report for it.
Also we’re not on time where M247,Veak-40 or Shilka’s are the top tier Spaas, we’re in Sam ERA where one country holds the edge compare to other countries.
Well, another game in which I lose my four tanks in Br 6.7 solely and exclusively to planes.
The nonsense is getting bigger and bigger, and gaijin doesn’t seem to want to solve anything.
I think the developers need to go get some classes on how to balance a game, apparently they failed that subject at school.
Keep in mind that there are tasks within the BattlePass that push players to play CAS. Kill 10 players with bombs, kill 10 players with rockets … next task … destroy 20 players with a plane. Expect around 20th December that players will use the new Strikemaster to farm the points for the specific task that will come up on that date.
I’ve used VEAK, OTOMATIC and those Swedish things perfectly fine. I don’t recall seeing anything weird on their shells.

I’m not fixated to top tier only, because that’s just a relatively small part of the game. Just like top tier deserves balance, BRs down under deserve it as well.
I was just pointing out things that weren’t really balanced in the past, but no one seemed to care back then.
Lots of things changed in the years from their release, most of those got superseded by more advanced systems. I was just trying to say imbalances happen not only in top tier and not only in USSR’s favor by giving an example from that Shilka/M247/VEAK situation.
Bug reports.
As I said, it’s pretty weird having no bug reports about something that’s lingering around for years and affecting several vehicles from multiple nations.
Yeah, mains can get really delusional about certain things.
I try to be objective as much as possible, avoiding bias claims and whatnot.
Gaijin always favor one nation with each uptade thats for sure but Russia is getting bit more favored in Spaa section with last patches.
İ dont know either, maybe people got tired enough so they dont do any reports about them? Cause i remember in old forum they created reports about Veak-40 Strf series and Otomatic in the past.
Same, im also trying to be as objective as possible, but not gonna lie sometimes i can feel biased to any nation on certain threads.
It seems like they are giving us yet another BTR clone with each update. Doing that isn’t bad per se, but other nations/tiers do need much more help than lower-ish tier USSR.
Who knows, I just know it’s weird to say the least.
People generally don’t let bugs go unnoticed, just look at threads about ERA/ammo/fuel tank issues. Threads about some vehicles being incorrectly modeled and/or missing features are ever present as well, so HE-VT bugs going under the radar for so long is suspicious. Looks like no one cares because no one even uses SPAAs anymore lmao.
It’s hard to be completely unbiased about things you’re a part of, that’s in our nature.
I often see people complaining about a tank’s single feature (like pen) while blatantly ignoring it’s sub-par features (like mobility, gun handling, etc.), simply because they haven’t been playing that vehicle at all or because it’s a vehicle from a nation they don’t really like IRL.
cry for cas nerf its a massive skill issue, lot of good spaa avaible in any tier, ka50-52 vs ito or adats… pantsir its a beast and the tor-m1 not good but not terrible.
