Game is unplayable for ground with Heli / CAS spam

Lots of common issues regarding the game itself could be easily mitigated by doing some minor changes, but they are reluctant to do so because it might affect queue times.
I doubt they’ve asked the community do they prefer almost instant queue times or something like, 20-30s queues but with matches being much more enjoyable/fair.

Also, I would like to touch up on your statement before where you said that higher tiers are a broken mess. I’ll ask you a question, don’t you think that’s the case because of CAS itself ?

Yes, maps can be too small and cramped to fully unleash the capabilities of higher tier MBTs, but they can perform in basically any environment just fine, it’s just the lack of certain playstyle options that’s bugging the players.
On the other hand, lower tiers are filled with unique and niche vehicles that can barely function in the said environment, so at least in my opinion, every tier of the game is negatively affected by the recent ensmallening of the maps.

That being said, SPAA options at higher tiers are questionable at best, you’ll often find yourself in an IR missile slinger going against stuff that can easily outrange you, or you’ll have Rolands that struggle hitting anything that isn’t full afk.
Sometimes you’ll also have to grossly uptier your SPAAs because there’s simply nothing else to bring and you’re basically stuck with it.

Let’s not pretend that the disparity between SPAA and CAS at those tiers has nothing to do with it being, as you said, a broken mess.

At least they don’t have a crap ton of premium SPAAs they’ll be worried about. I mean, TO would ignore as much of the game as current Air RB.
Yeah, some BP challenges are just them force feeding us Naval.

I hink the hard cap for heli / planes would help a lot . I saw games where there was no single enemy on ground and all of them in air , spawn camping us to death with CAS and Helis .

Spawning SPAA does not help in that situation.

You can CAP with Heli too ;-)

Another game where 4 planes just evaporated our team , I spawned 2 SPAA`s killed one , then got raped by other planes , as 10 sec spawn protection run out.

Gaijin is just a garbage moneygrab company if they wont change that .

Gaijin is unnaturally and unreasonably touchy about queue times.

Years ago (2015 or so), Gaijin tossed tiny AB AFs maps into RB AFs in the name of queue times and that move was only reversed because players went absolutely bonkers at being engaged with the enemy a few moments after takeoff.

Undoubtedly a great deal of quality of life decisions have been smothered by excessive worry about queue times.

Because my reach into top tier is limited and thus most of what I am saying above 9.X is theoretical, I will say that I think top tier’s general issues are a greater concentration of common issues (map size, BR compression, module grind criticality, etc.) mixed with the march of technology.

While more modern, sophisticated aircraft play a part, I suspect top tier’s issues arise largely from more systemic issues cresting. Whereas at some BRs they may be overcome, there they come to a head.

on 11.7 for example you have jets that fly above radar range like F16 that are completely safe and drops guided bombs on you .

Suuuuper balanced. Especially when you play Japan , and your SPAA has less range than most jets .

Im simply frustrated when I know i played well but I die from random CAS abuser who just clicked me from 10km , and I can spawn SPAA that does not even reach him .

You don’t even need to go past 9.0 to see those issues piling up. I’ve been through the ranks five times now, and at least in my opinion, biggest BR compression spot is just after WW2 era, where late war designs will start meeting stuff with stabilization and/or darts that will simply ignore each and every advantage they had.

Also, as I said in my previous post, I still think map size is a problem that affect most tiers, which is especially true for certain nation/tier combinations that have lots of gimmick-y vehicles, that are simply unable to perform well in urban knife fights.

In regard to modules grind, Gaijin’s decision to put HEAT-FS as a stock round on most vehicles is probably one of the most hated decision they’ve made, and it’s laughably obvious they’re trying to milk some GE by using such a cheap tactic.
Although I have to say that many tanks have their first dart as a tier 1 modification, so if only they would reduce the amount of RP needed (just like with Parts and FPE), I’m sure loads of people could get over that issue without a problem.

That being said, higher tier SPAA trees are often neglected for large periods of time, leaving gaping holes which can and will introduce various unbalances between ground and air power levels.
This issue, at least in my opinion, plays a significant role in the overall level of unbalance higher up, while general tank vs tank combat seems to be in a much better shape, at least from my perspective playing higher tiers of USA, Germany, USSR, Sweden and Italy.
I’ve yet to play a vehicle that I would call to be trash and borderline unusable.

To balance tank and aviation tanks should have same sapwn rules as planes/helis, on the start of the match you can spawn only on medium tanks with stock shells only and without smokes and artillery strike, if you get enough SP you can spawn on another class of tank. But non-stock shells will cost SP, smokes costs SP, artillery strikes costs SP.

Not gonna lie but this weak only a lot of topic about CAS pop up like crazy and damn new generation of war thunder are weaker than I expected

Expect a lot more of that. The generations that have been raised to expect that the whole world revolves around them are slowly reaching adulthood now.

Ye, we can see people who doesn’t want to understand the other side of discussion and are scared that their „fun” will be taken away

Exactly, people don’t want anything to change since it would impact their fun, how selfish is that, almost like those new generations that expect that the whole world revolves around them.

The thing is this situation became one sided at high tier actually.

For example they just buffed Tunguska’s missiles to 32G while keeping it at 10.7 which is totally bs considering whole reason why they nerfed its because they wanted to add Pantsir.

Now Russians single handedly holds Spaa advantage against any other country while they can actually use Sky freely.

VT-1 missiles also buffed and became more dangerous but at least you know when you’re actually getting targeted by those systems unlike Pantsir, not to mention you can actually counter them by using range advantage.

Pantsir on other hand just basically rules the skies, especially if there is no terrain cover.

I actually really don’t mind. I don’t think that a few players leaving a gamemode that has an average queue time of 3 seconds for me would do too much harm. I just think that most of their argumentation is ludicrous.

You remember when the game used to be fun on it own ways? It way more realistic even map rotation are better also there are even night battle in world war 2 era now those fun are gone replace by garbage just because new generation of players crying it too hard for them

Map rotation is probably bugged, so many people are upset about it, so I hope for the best.
As for the night battles, I think they are fine if all vehicles have access to same tech (NVD-only or thermals), and not like before where stuff with 2nd gen thermals could go against shitboxes that barely have NVD.

It isn’t even about something being hard or not in this case, some people simply don’t want to get involved with aircraft, just like some players don’t want to get involved with tanks, and that’s perfectly okay.

Well yeah but this game is about build your own line up at the beginning when GRB was introduced like 8-9 years ago but people don’t goes crazy on CAS like what happen now

This game had way less players 8-9 years ago, so it’s kinda given you’ll see more moaning posts about something now, than way back then.
Also, over the years tech advanced by a lot, while maps remained more or less the same, which also adds to the unbalance.
