Seriously. Matches, in higher BR’s are now less than 7 minutes because all you need is 1 small boat to cap 1 point, and then maybe they cap a second to win the match in 6 or 7 minutes.
People don’t enter matches in 8.7 Battleships to play 5 minute games because a 1920’s fishing boat just wandered into a couple of caps. Even if you do bring your 1.0 boat into a 8.3 match, if the other team has a boat and you die, then you’re back to the big ships with no counter to it.
The ticket bleed is insane and isn’t decided by kills or damage, it’s essentially decided why who can cap quickest. I also don’t understand what these players are trying to achieve by this, they get next to nothing for making these games short and the RP penalty means it’s not even worth it.
It’s illogical, and if they cap in the first 2 or 3 minutes, the ticket bleed is so fast that you reach a point of no return where the game simply cannot be salvaged.
This has been a problem for years and never gets addressed. Ticket bleed needs to be reduced by at least 50%, maybe as high as 75%.
I don’t understand why people always start new threads when a discussion already exists. And therefore can’t be bothered to read all the arguments that have been listed before.
They spade the boat.
What RP penalty are you talking about?
Also check out some of my suggestions for possible alternatives, especially a change that would make it take longer for coastal botes to capture points in higher BR matches:
