Coastal fleet should be removed from top tier Naval. It is completely stupid and unfair that someone gets to spawn a PT boat all the one on the far side of the map, directly next to a cap point, and have the tickets bleed out before anyone even makes it to any of the other points. This hurts both teams, as it limits all the players ability to do anything effectively, epsecially at top tier where ships are slow and brawling it out. Someone spawning in a PT boat is an almost 100% guarantee win for whichever team does it, and is a completely stupid thing to have happen when everyone else is in battleships.
And there is no way to kill the PT boats before they cap the point unless someone on your own team has a PT boat.
Have boats in your lineup, issue solved

Coastal and Bluewater were initially split up because most people didn’t want to grind coastal just for a destroyer.
As it stands, coastal shouldn’t even be able to be usable in a line-up past 4.7. at highest.
It’s not a Coastal fleet issue really, but a poor map design. I can (and sometimes do it actually) capture that point using hydroplane from my BB.
It’s a mixture:
Coastal spawns exist on bluewater tier.
The solution is to remove them in the 5.7+ tier.
I mean you can still allow players to spawn in coastal if they want, like that guy hunting Soyuzes in T-14 XD
But that A point which battleships are usually even unable to rich during the entire battle should be removed, that way you can also solve an issue with hydroplanes.
Plus I would decrease mission points draining significantly, because imo it’s way too fast.
Which in general wasn’t a healthy move, pretty sad that they didn’t give us cross research possibility.
Actually I wouldn’t mind Coastal only battles in which I won’t need to face cruisers in Freccia boat ;)
Removing coastal spawns will massively disincentivize spawning coastal because it’d drastically increase travel distance for PT boats.
It’d also give BBs time to either push the objective or actually start doing something.

Every naval player has easy access to fast coastal boats.

Many high tier maps don’t even have a coastal cap zone.

Many large ships do have hydroplane access.

You can always spawn a coastal after your ship goes boom.

You can always leave a coastal after you capped.
And: It makes no sense to keep this discussion confined to realistic. Arcade has pretty much the same situation.
If I am playing 7.0 Bluewater naval, I’m here to play 7.0. Thats like telling someone “oh you keep dying to IR missiles? Bring a prop so they can’t lock you”
You don’t get hydroplanes until 7.3 for battleships, crusiers get them but 9/10 times you get nuked by someone hitting your ammo before you can even do anything with it, or the plane gets shot down by someone using proxy.
It makes no sense for your “fix” to be to tell someone grinding bluewater, and playing a 7.0 naval game to just not play bluewater and bring something at reserve.
Under br 3.3, coastal gets their own battles as the lowest bluewater is 3.3. It’s only once you start getting Rank IV in coastal that you get put into normal games.
But you are not alone in the game. Others play naval (and not just bluewater) and deal with whatever map is coming. No one forces you to play something else but a fat BB. Your choice.

IIRC, starting with 2.3, you will meet bluewater ships in normal games. Rank 3 coastals run into bluewater rather frequently.

Seems like you forget that just about every jet that faces early IR missiles don’t have flares, including jets even going into the all aspect BR ranges. But again, has nothing to do with what I said at any point.
And coastal fleet in BB BRs ruin it for both teams.
We obviously don’t agree on this.

Coastal searves no purpose in naval 5.7+ other than capping points, ruining the game for bluewater.
They can’t kill anything other than a few with powerful torpedoes, and their a pain to deal with in any great war eara ships without a large, fast firing, secondary and tertiaries.
