Gaijin. Update Sim EC

,

They very rarely (if ever) participate in forum discussions. That does NOT mean they don’t read and consider what is discussed here in the forum, however.

They don’t even care, smin and stona were pinged once or twice by me on a very important sim ec forum topic I guess it was the topic created by you for suggestions for sim ec and none of them responded, I doubt they even read what is written here. I feel like their approacn to sim ec is they won’t do anything if they don’t feel like they have to. the state of most sim maps is that if you let a player do a sim mission they will do a way better and less buggy one in a few hours…in denmark for years bomber/attacker planes go around enemy ships low level maneuvering like dolphins, also sometimes harrier bomber/attackers going mach 1.4 etc, in tunisia they go orbit in the middle of the map by the coast, in afghan they crash into mountains etc etc you know the situation and all the other things I didn’t mention right now, shows how much they care. it is a shame they do good things when they are forced to by players, yes they added some cool cockpit stuff lately especially for modern planes but the core stuff are not being addressed for years. they are focusing on ground rb air rb player base but sim players pay their products as well. It is a question of manners to care about their experience too without being forced to

Edit: There were even so many replies to that suggestion topic with good ideas, a waste that it and other topics on sim forums go unnoticed, not cared.

I have made a lot of suggestions about sim economy, like suggesting normal rewarding in airsim ratter than 15mins cikles, but thay saied that suggesting an change of gamemode ec isnt an suggestion.
It seems like the only thing that can be suggested are new machines and techtrees.
I can see a ukraine techtree suggestion every day there, but someting useful? No.
You writte suggestion about fixing airsim economy (many eyers old problem) and what will happen? It gets ignored.

Though would be nice to see a Dev blog covering the Devs plans for ASB. With how little it’s had in the way of development in recent years, I would love to hear direct from the Devs (even via the CMs) on their plans for it and why it gets such little attention

They might do it if sim community gets bigger and organized and give their honest reviews on some platform if you know what I mean

Edit: Maybe then they will stop ignoring a fair amount of players and a fair part of the community for years

The problem is, many players have given up on it due to neglect and wouldn’t return until they see a commitment from Gaijin to turn SB into what it should be.

It’s a catch 22

No plans - no dev blogs. I don’t get how they add cockpits and modern HUDs which only make sense in sim and then abandon the world around the plane for many years.

Yeah, though even then, so many cockpits have so many issues that they hardly care about even that much

Or instead of trying to find ways to punish people bombing, how about we fix the absurd economy? Every vehicle is brought down 50%, and so are all attachment costs. RP and SL gain are kept the same, everything stays the same except the absolute excessive economy.

Otherwise, we could have Double XP weekends every now and then, once a month and on holidays. People would grind a lot more during those times because they can actually progress and not be bogged down by dreadful gains.

So no, there is no need to punish people for grinding, we should instead have a push to make it so people do not bomb as a last resort. Bombing gives consistent RP and SL, which is why people do it. Make the grind easier, and people will not focus so much on the grind.

My aim to mitigate the botters that largely causes the terrible economy we had in the first place. Not bombers in general

Bombers did not cause the bad economy, it is the complainers on the forums begging for reductions that caused the bad economy. You cried and Gaijin heard “reduce points” and thus they did. You (as in the community) caused this by crying about people just grinding and minding their own business. Instead of conspiring to try and get rid of bombers, realise that nerfing bombers means nerfing fighters too.

This grinding massively destroyed the gameplay and the whole game mode.
Zombing, PVE lobbies ect. are not the kind of gameplay we want in sim and during events, a normal gameplay is not possible.

Sim players “cried”, because they didn´t want their game to be abused for point farming by players who don´t play sim and don´t care about it.

Blame Gaijin for that one. Sure, people could grind by fighting constantly, but that doesn’t net as much or as consistently as bombing does. These bombers are not ruining anything, they are the product (or consequence) of Gaijin’s inability to make a proper grind. People have PvE lobbies because it is the best way to grind without having to deal with sweats.
I bomb there too because I can get a load of research to grind out my trees, and then I can spade the planes I want and ignore the ones I could care less about. That’s what majority of the bombing community does too. I spaded the entirety of Sweden, realised there are certain BRs I don’t like, and therefore I can now skip over them.
I am top tier in multiple nations, am I a terrible player? No, I just want to get my stuff and then I can retire Pubs by playing in tournaments (official Gaijin ones too), play in Customs, and screw with weird LARPers who demand I ask permission to speak (I love messing with them, especially since I know they are 15 y/o Army Seals and 30+ y/o “I woulda joined, but” folks).

So until Gaining actually fixes the problem, you are going to have to deal with people treating your game mode as the most effective way to grind.

I did make a mistake, I enjoy playing Sim in Customs. Although not everyone enjoys the whole shock of crashing on the runway fifteen times, and then when they get in the sky, my HQ17 has them back on the runway. It does keep out the weirdos that join Custom servers.

BR brackets 5.0-6.0, 5.3-6.3, 5.7-6.7 6.0-7.0 (and then 7.0+ is dead because it costs 18K to spawn a horten and you can, at most, make 19.7k without premium doing a perfect UA cycle).

What do all these brackets have in common?

This image alone speaks a thousand words, so I think there’s no need to elaborate.

Another issue I’ve observed over-time:

A lot of new players coming to sim, unfortunately - a concept that eludes me I’ll admit - just click “air simulator” and hit “to-battle” without performing prelimary research (watching guides, looking up advice, etc.) I don’t fault them - modern games you expect to have the tutorial inside the game, not in manuals, gamefaqs or random forums or youtube videos.

Either way. They don’t realize there’s a “Room selection button.”

PvE lobby is made, prop BRs on denmark with swarms of ju 288.

Denmark is an awful map for props with terrible balance, broken airfield AAA and bluefor spawncamping redfor’s sole forward airfield more often than not while brain-off farming A points and groundbattles knowing redfor has to fly 100 km in a 450-550 km/h topspeed aircraft.

It is also perfect for bombing undisturbed due to size of the map, the aforementioned terrible balance and where bases spawn.

Older sim players see denmark and avoid it like the plague and join lobbies manually and look for fun matches.

New player comes along, presses to-battle and the game looks at the available lobbies for their lineup and… oh look, denmark props with lots of “Players!” and drops them in there and gives a terrible first impression.

And at the same time, player numbers on more interesting maps with fair objectives that even offer rudimentary engagement and for new players (Siciliy, Tunisia, (Winter) Stalingrad, Ruhr, Kursk, Bulge and their ilk) - learning opportunity in intercepting a.i bombers/attackers/survey planes… are lower because of the “to-battle” sorting putting players elsewhere.

Now, I do not have solid data to back up this claim only my impressions and experience in the few times I bite the bullet and go for denmark maps hoping for the rare map layout that offers fun for both red and blue as i couldn’t get in on the tunisia/sicily/fun maps…

Almost always when I play on SB, I end up seeing at least one person asking how to start engine, asking why their plane goes rogue into a nearby hangar and why it keeps rolling whenever they let go of controls. I see this far less often on other maps (it still happens, and I don’t mind it happening - just more… why does it happen more often on denmark? Why is it not more spread out and visible in every lobby, on every map? My hypothesis: “To Battle” and PvE grinders favouring denmark )

Gaijin put that economy in, that’s not the fault of bombers, that’s the fault of Gaijin being absolutely [this comment has earned the poster 30 days in jail].

Also, Denmark is probably the best PVE map since the people who just want to bomb can stay in their little part of Denmark down in the higher number areas, while the PvPers usually just battle over the sea anyways. It’s absolutely perfect. Sinai is another great map, because it’s large and mostly clear, minus the weird lumps of rocks they added in for no reason. Seriously, Sinai does not look like that, nor does it have rainstorms.

Jets maybe, props it turns into bluefor camping the one forward airfield that doesn’t require 100 km of travel to use knowing it’s easy pickings with no defence.

I’m usually doing 10.3-12.3 Sim, depending on the country. Why play Sim in props when I can just get by faster by using a premium.

Because props are the coolest part of aviation after weird NASA’s non-combat weird prototype things and the concorde.

True, I’ll give it a shot once I’m done grinding all my trees

Grind is endless in this game
