Gaijin refuses to balance LDIRCM Helicopters

From my personal experience, there’s been times where 4-5 PARS weren’t enough for a single MBT. Pair that on top of you can only carry 8 of them.

You will rarely get a 1 hit kill on an MBT using PARS. People have complained about how weak PARS and Spikes are for a long time. Well before this update.

Huh, I wonder where we’ve seen something similar before regarding brochures and Gaijin adding weaponry solely based on that.

false equivalence fallacy

Please note that the documentation detailing the implementation of weapons being carried is distinct from the documentation describing the performance characteristics of those weapons.
The issue with this bug report is that it remains unclear what means or systems are employed to achieve LDIRCM resistance.
Given the inadequacy of the documentation he submitted, it is hardly surprising that Gaijin declined to accept it.

“common sence” quite interesting term for malignant narcissism flavored with all-obscuring ignorance.

Or they won’t ?
Years after they were added, our starting IR slingers still struggle to consistently lock helicopters past 2.5km of range. Gaijin wants CAS to have the upper hand, so if planes aren’t good enough, then they’ll make sure helicopters are.

~9.3 situation is repeating itself, but now at top tier.

im gonna make my own game smh.
this ship has …
too many holes, not many goals.

Whenever CAS isn’t blatantly outranging AAs in higher tiers you should know something that is will be coming very soon.

New AAs arrived → planes lost a bunch of effectivity → Gaijin isn’t ready to add HARMs yet → Gaijin adds suspicious LDIRCM and IR missiles with increased range so SACLOS will struggle → helicopters become what planes were before, uncontested

Highly predictable chain of events.

I won’t start on how helicopters should be much easier to target with ARHs than they’re now.

and IR/IIR*

IR seekers having issues with helicopters is a years old problem now that Gaijin doesn’t want to change, as they seemingly want the situation to be like that.

LDIRCM saga looks really familiar when you take the aforementioned problem into consideration.

But in all honesty, balancing helicopters isn’t easy.

it can be…

but a system that prioritises profit and the monopoly of control… does not prefer to see such an outcome. an outcome that would satiate the masses is an outcome that will take away control.
supply and demand, hence wealth. ifykyk

it does they’re just lazy and incompetent.

I mean, you can literally just ignore the Z-10ME. It can’t touch you with the 502KGs unless you’re a stationary AA piece that is on an open plain. They’re probably the worst missile in the game, even beating out the APKWSIIs. Why they modelled it so plainly wrong is your guess, but I’d like to point out how wrongly modelled the rest of the domestic chinese tree is (VT4-A1 and ZTZ-99A’s armour layout issues and lack of spall liners, the autoloader reload speeds, complete lack of IR guided AGMs from the Air tree, the abominations that are the VT5 and CS/SA5, etc).

The Mi-28NM is a different beast, but it has the Russian vehicle hidden buff of being favourably modelled. So yeah, LMURs can wipe a team, but trying to say a Z-10ME can is a meme.

Not a bug tho))))))))))))))) War Thunder is the most accurate simulator in the world))))))))))))) No bias at all))))))) Certainly no ties to certain governments and causes who we have been caught directly funding)))))))))

Then share your wisdom with me.
If you allow IR seekers to reliably lock helicopters at their maximum range, then you’re letting AAs dominate.
If you allow ARH missiles to reliably lock helicopters, you aren’t giving them many chances of survival. What are they gonna do, notch it and chaff it lol ?
If you allow DIRCM to only protect you against a few missiles at the same time, you’re still as good as dead but you will have slightly better feeling after getting killed as you made AAs spend a few more missiles.

Literally the most balanced helicopter/AA interaction was the non-FnF ATGMs vs SACLOS AAs.

Would you like a tinfoil hat with that ?

It’s a Dev job not me they should the one figure it out many PVP game out there can make the game more balance some of them even have smaller team than Gaijin
They should be the one who use their brain to figure it out
If they can’t = Incompetent simple as that.

But you said it can be done, so I’m assuming you’ve thought about it and have a solution.
You can easily tell me how to solve those few concerns I’ve written above.

It can be done if dev is competent that is
but Gaijin seem isn’t the competent one

What do I get from spent my time thinking about solution 5000USD? or get hire by Gaijin?
I’m customer not a dev team I have right to complain about the problem, but I can’t tell them how they will do it to make stuff better if they are not willing to, they can at least explain why it work this way
but Gaijin aren’t capable of fixing problem or explain stuff so Incompetent that is.

You get to prove that you as a player found a solution, while several employees of Gaijin couldn’t.
The biggest proof of incompetence.

I never even saw post(s) that go over the balancing of helicopters.

They could change some maps to offer more geographical features as cover and move the helipads accordingly. FnF missiles with options for hard cover vs capable IR and ARH SPAA sounds fairly balanced. Especially with the increased range on the new AGM giving some room on where to shoot from
