Not really home on jam, but this paper explains why LDIRCM aren’t really efficient against any kind of IIR missiles
Those missiles include (some not in game) :
- IRIS-T SLS
- IRIS-T SLM
- AIM9-X
- MICA IR
- MISTRAL 3
- ASRAAM
Additionally, helicopters in game don’t have their blade radar return modelled. They would be far more susceptible to get downed by the following missiles if it were :
- AIM-120 A, B, C
- DERBY
- MICA EM
- PL-12
- R-77
- CAMM / CAMM ER
- ASTER-30
finally, even older missiles could overwhelm the LDIRCM, as it’s a system based on 1 or 2 turrets

im aware of the paper. curious theory, still waiting for iris or something of the kind to shoot down anything with ldircm, last I heard it’s used to shoot down munitions but that’s just it (maybe you have a link for that too?)
makes sense, but that has to be a short window, how long does it take for an ldricm turret to neutralize a missile’s seeker?
And here i thought discrimination was bad and agains’t the rules but seems to be not a problem.

While he’s rather forthcoming with his statement, the point still stands that it’s a universally known fact that Russia’s MIC has been unreliable at best since the 1990s, and those bold and audacious claims have been disputed and turned out to be false in various conflicts in the 21st century

I don’t really want to go here, but russian press is state controlled, and massively biased, let’s not talk about the media here
And here i thought that statements needs proofs but seems to we can sentence whole group of people without proofs

??? The proof is too contraverisal for me to post on these forums, so your best bet to see where these claims are made and failed, simply go and look on certain subreddits, telegram channels and onyx
Why i have to go there and look for Russian Government statements exactly there ? Is there Russian MOD subreddit ?
They’re not going to fix it, they’re too busy fixing ammo detonations in blowout protected panels and buffing unoptainable vehicles. You know, the important stuff rather than dealing with something which is destroying balance yet again.
You don’t make a mistake like this, and ignore the bug reports unless it’s intentional.

most of the time it is in range, because the laser isnt strong enough to permanently damage the seeker, only temporarily blind it

AH64E, Mi28NM, and Z10ME need to be moved up in BR.
They’re not equivalent to the Tigers, AH60 and other Helicopters that carry FNF.
LDIRCM alone should’ve put these helicopters at 12.7 or 13.0
