Gaijin makes Germany Useless

Regardless of if it’s a fair ask or not, it has happened multiple times to other nations before. It is not something that has not happened. It is unfortunate, but when that is what a nation has and/or what a nation needs, there isn’t much that can be done about it.

Clearly Germany needed an F-16 if they get a Phantom at top tier instead because they added the Dutch to France with zero logic or reasons behind it, who in their right mind could possibly think that a Phantom at top tier with 2x Aim-9L is even remotely reasonable? It’s so far common sense and entirely incomprehensible and rather frustrating that we’re at the mercy of a company like this.

‘‘Oh but we can’t figure out how to get more than 5 lines in a tree’’

Which is the saddest thing of all.

The way Leopard tanks are spread to all possible nations is rediculus. There’s no way to deny it. Hungary was and is Germany’s ally (past) and defense partner (now, alot joint ventures). How in earth are ending our Tigers, Panzers, Leopards, IFVs all in italian TT?

These subtrees make ingame nations pointless. Soon even France zooming around in Gepards and Leopards.

While Germany gets nothing in return… Where is the German F-15? Or F-16? A light tank at rank III? Somehow for Germany there’s no plan to fix gaps. But beeeehoooold…if any other nation has tech tree gaps, it gets cluttered with Leopards, Bf109s etc via vague ingame subtrees.

Italy should have just been a German subtree to begin with.

Finland is the same issue. Jesus christ, how much ressources Imperial Germany pumped into Finland to liberate it from Tzarist and then Bolshevik Russia at the end of the Great War. Similar in WW2. Then intense defense joint ventures after the World Wars had passed. And what happened? All the effords and delivered units end up in War Thunders Swedish TT.

Soon Germany gets shot with its own weapons from 3-4 ingame nations. This is NOT immersive^^

The way Sherman tanks/F-86s/M48s/M60s/M18s/M26s/M47s/F-84s/P-51s/F-16s/F-15s/F-4s/F-5s/M42s/Spitfires/P-47s are spread to all possible nations is ridiculous. There’s no way to deny it. GB/France/Israel/BeNeLux was and is Germany’s ally (past) and defense partner (now, NATO). How in earth are ending our M26s, M60s, F-4s, M48s, F-84s, F-86s, fighters all in other TTs?

These additions make ingame nations pointless. Soon even France zooming around in M1s and ADATS.

While USA gets nothing in return… Where is the American G.91? Or MiG-15? A SPAAG at rank IV? Somehow for America there’s no plan to fix gaps. But beeeehoooold…if any other nation has tech tree gaps, it gets cluttered with M41s, F-4s etc via buying our vehicles.

If you have a complaint with the Leos, then it is time to ask for the removal of a LOT of vehicles from a LOT of tech trees. It is not exclusive and acting like this is a first and an exception is beyond unreasonable and a double standard.

If I all of a sudden said that Germany could not get the F-4F Ice since the F-4 was American, would you be happy? What if I said that the F-104s or F-86s needed to be removed? Or the standard F-4? What about the M48s? What about removing Israeli/French/American Spitfires?
It is not a first. It is not exclusive. It happens. It sucks. But this is what happens when your defense industry is larger and better than that of the countries around you.

This may be the worst take I’ve seen all day. Italy has a number of unique vehicles and was added at first with practically zero Non-Italian vehicles. Especially in Air, Italy has plenty of unique vehicles for it, especially at the lower tiers.

And there’s no reason it couldn’t be merged with Germany and just have larger trees in the game with more things foldered rather than adding a dozen different nations with a lot of them questionable value and an excessive amount of copy paste… both low tier and high tier it makes sense for Italy to be matched with Germany… and do the same thing with other nations to add a lot more depth to the trees rather than a bunch of shallow nations with similar vehicles that just hurt both nations in terms of value.

Again, Italy was not a questionable addition and until an update ago it didn’t have nearly as much Copy Paste, in fact rather little (at the very least about as much as Germans Copy Paste). Yes Hungary at points was stupid but the early vehicles and the unique ones like the KF41 are of much value and, again, unique to the Italian tree. Neither for Low Tier or High Tier do they have so few vehicles that it makes sense for it to be a sub nation. Having it as a full nation in game 100% makes sense and acting like it doesn’t is simply ignorant.

If the nation bought a certain units and used it within their military, so be it. But thats not what these subtrees are about. Italy never bought a Leopard tank. Or France. And the never would have done it, their national pride would never allow it. Its just the subtree policy, which shuffles alot units to countries which have to connection to them.

Italy has so few domestic addition, they indeed could have been in Ger TT. As it was at the beginning of WT.

I’m sorry, should Germany go to the US or Russia since it uses primarily American and Russian planes post Rank V? Should all of the German M48s and German T-72s go to their respective nations?

I don’t see you arguing for the removal of any of this stuff any time soon. So long as that is the case then Italy as a nation is fine on its own.

italy is curently planing to order leo 2A8

Completely not the point.

Oh God.

All other WW2 games work with Alliances and Pacts.

There you select Axis, Western Aliies or Soviet Russia. Or Nato vs Pact vs Asian Spere.

This country based approach in WT was ok as it just have been major countries. But now it turned into a folly of unprecedented dimensions. All these small nonsense countries which just beeing kept alive with copy paste orgies… No thanks.

Whether or not Italy should have gotten Hungary is valid question.
As is whether or not Britain should have gotten South Africa and India
Or France Benelux
Or China Taiwan

(in fact I think the only Sub-TT that makes clear sense is Sweden with Finland)

But…

Italy didnt get the Leopard. Hungary did
France didnt get the Leopard Belgium did

and if you feel this strongly about this then I guess Argentine or Polish F-16s or Swiss F-18s are going to have to go to the US TT.

(quite frankly, Italy needed the Leopard more than any other. even I will concede that the Ariete is in worse shape than the Chally 2)

but its not a WW2 game and even for that it wouldnt make sense, even less then for modern stuff

This is so Ironic. SO wholly Ironic. Just read this.

You are asking how these vehicles, purchased and used by Italy or Hungary, end up in the combined Italian/Hungarian tech tree? You can pick one or the other, not both. Germany is not some gift from God.

Then why did Italy buy and use Leopard tanks in the 70s? Why are they planning to purchase more Leopards? Why would Hungary do so?

Could you tell me what these subtrees are about? Because to me it seems these Subtrees are about adding certain nations vehicles to nations they are closely tied with. It is reasonable that Hungary went to Italy as until the 1960s they were it’s closest ally. If most of the Commonwealth goes to Britain because of control it has in the 1940s, than Hungary should go to Italy.

Italy has plenty of domestic additions. Hence why they were made a separate tree. If it was not enough, Gaijin would not have separated it from Germany. Plus, it the Italian aircraft were added to the German tree to break a World Record, not to fulfill a lineup or anything.

Also, this ten times over. You are acting as if Italy got a Leopard that says “Italy” on it. They did not. Hungary for a Hungarian leopard. It just so happens that Hungary is placed along with Italian vehicles. Same with the F-16 for France.
