Have you driven a char? Is actually about 50% slower than all of the AMX-50s to include the heavy 120 despite having the same power to weight ratio. While on paper it has a higher top speed but accelerates exponentially slower and struggles to maintain cross country speeds that aren’t down hill.
I play primarily French 7.7 and if I need to get to someplace fast, I don’t spawn a char. It was nerfed long ago and never fixed.
It doesn’t have any effect on any certain vehicle, it’s the entire realm of whatever that vehicle is placed in that changes. As I mentioned sometimes a little(most common I think) but sometimes a great deal. But usually the major effects of a new vehicle, where ever it is placed, is mainly because it is new and it takes a while for players to learn how to counter/kill it as well as use it to it’s strengths. And that generally doesn’t last for a long time . . . if it does, then those vehicles can become candidates for an early adjustment. And the time for things to “stabilize” can vary a good deal . … lotsa variables. But regardless of our views on these things as players, in the end . . we get what we get and have to learn to play the game we are given . . . novel concept I know . . lol, but that’s really how it is . . .
I understand a new vehicle must find its place and I understand that it must move BR .How long should that take? 6 months, max ? It’s place will only be relative to those vehicles already established though.
I can accept the way things are but if we all did that we would not need a forum and it would be empty. Gaijin is open to opinion and suggestion in some areas.
Maybe Gaijin should reconfigure BR solely around line ups and opposition met. So for example drop the Pershing and Jumbo to 6.0 to meet the Panthers and Tiger E .
Forget stats ,go for game play. I don’t see that would be much of an issue in game. It would be fair and give players what they expect.
Look to make line ups that are full, work and have options and most importantly parallel other line ups in other nations.
Seeing individual Units as individual is part of where BR goes wrong as far as I can see. I still can’t see why a vehicle needs to move if it has been at a BR for 2 or more years. It cant be that much of an issue. Panthers were fine at 5.7 -6 ,just because the USA tanks were over tired didn’t mean the Germans needed to be up tiered, it was the US that needs to be downtierd to meet them.
Gaijin should reevaluate its BR system and concentrate on giving every current nation a full line to fill at least five spaces in the most important BR slots or even every BR
slot. All new vehicles introduced purely for that aim in mind.
No offence again meant but I just can’t see why long-established Vehicles don’t stay as they are and gaps are filled around them.
Or do a one off major rework such as that clearly needed by the USA at 6 -7 BR to match the Russians and Germany.
A secondary suggestion could be free backups where gaps are prominent or even dare I say it duplicates as premiums. Like the Cobra King. Gaps maybe OT but shifting BR is creating them.
No, its that they have to balance thousands of vehicles, across a half dozen game modes. They would have to hire dozens of full time testers who did nothing be evaluate the tens of thousands of possible permutations. And even then for ever decision, some one would be unhappy and complain about it.
it’s almost like there’s an entire playerbase with hundreds of thousands of people who have been playing these thousands of vehicles, where 95% of vehicle is going to be operating with acceptable parameters anyways and do not need to be reviewed and it’s only the outliers that need to be looked at.
Of course this relies on some level of communication between Gaijin’s and the players and a level of mutual respect, something never given by Gaijin either who operates from a ‘we know better’ position and thinks the community doesn’t know what is good for them.
Of course another issue is the complete neglect of minor nations causing disproportionate player numbers, but Gaijin already fails to account for that as it is so it can only get better.
for every decision, some one would be unhappy and complain about it.
That means the players aren’t a reliable and unbiased source of data. Ie: “They are dumbasses”. Ever work in customer service?
The most you are going to get by letting the playerbase decide is a “popularity contest”.
Hence why you need to consider player count, open up vehicle discussions on the forum, have players require a certain amount of experience in the game to participate or whatever, things like that, a lot of ways to improve the quality of the feedback.
Reality is that the situation is already really bad, minor nations get screwed over and over and over and generally the feedback to BR changes is far more sensible and reasonable than Gaijin’s changes.
I must say PR56 is strong, not because of its Fire power, but its radar and aim system, however when it needs to face Kerch at 5.3(AB) or Atalanta(RB) at 5.3, it will become like a joker, even now PR56 is pretty hard to against with some light cruisers at 5.0.
