yeah thats why i made this thread something in my gut tells me this fighter shouldnt be out turned in a dogfight by a B25 mitchell bomber

If the performance of the Fw 190 were to improve, would the performance of the Ta 152C-3 also improve?

i mean yes but the A models will still be most manuverable

IRL, the Fw 190A should turn about as well as the P-51C.

Imo they still have the early wt days balancing flight model.

You watch documentaries that say it was very maneuverable then you play it and it absolutely is not in game.

thats what im thinking too because just going off its design its has a good long wings and short stubby nose which would make it a ideal turning fighter but i cant find the flight performance graphs

and i cant get any contact with tech mods

Am I crazy or does it not roll as well as it used to?

i do not know i know it still out rolls the spit fires thats it

if anyone has the report from these tests that would be very useful

I think they mainly say it because of the very good roll rate compared to a lot of other fighters and possibly because ofthe responsiveness of the controls.

A lot of real life advantages don’t really translate to a game where the plane is basically controlled by a robot.

Third person aim allows for super unrealistic deflection shots during turns where the pilot has no clue what he is aiming at, while mouse aim keeps the plane perfectly steady, even under high G load.

If you pull 6G, the other plane would need to pull 8G to make a deflection shot, which in reality would already be near impossible.

yeah but the FW190 A1 handles very well but i feel A5 feels like a brick

for example the FW190 A1 weighs EMPTY 6,720LB the A5 weighs 7,495 empty around 500 LB difference but it got a 200 Hp boost to compensate for the extra weight so it shouldnt handle as bad as it does

also heres a climb rate graph for the FW190 A3 shame i cant find turn rate graphs

Yeah, it’s odd.

I took the A-5 out in test drive and didn’t get any G warnings while turning. At most it turned 6 Gs.

Then I flew out the A-4 in a match and pulled 8 Gs.

Can’t imagine the A-5 and later 190s would turn so much worse.

there only 500lb roughly heavier than the A1 with a 200Hp buff so i have no clue why they perform like that
