Flakpanzer vs Ostwind II, Panther II E-100 etc

But the Turret of E-100 was never finished and i think they didn’t even know what to slap onto it (from what i know) and in the Game Gaijin just slapped the Maus on it.
I heard they were even plans for an even bigger Jagdtiger or like the E-75.

Flakpanzer should definitely come back and Ostwind II should stay as well.

Panther II imo can be added like it was more likely originally intented like the uparmoured Panther F as some Event Vehicle or so.

  1. Unless you find a source that backs up that claim I shall refute that.

2.1 Fine then I agree the 10.5 didn’t exist however.

  1. Fair enough. If there was no 88mm Panther then it shouldn’t come.
  1. I am literally searching for the shipping manifest right now.
  2. That is one hell of a wooden mockup that also doesn’t even look remotely close to the Tiger II 105 ingame.

Did I say that was the 105?

Regardless, that image you sent is a wooden mockup.

Indeed it is. Though there was most certainly plans to add a rangefinder to the Tiger II that never came to fruition.

Apparently this new version was slated to start production in July of 1945 which obviously never happened.

Seems like on the Russki side of things they posted a picture of what the irl Oswind II looks like.

Wonder why Gaijin decided to have both guns on the sides. Rather than above one another. image to the far right is the 30mm Wirbel apparently.

Image below seems to be the Oswind II though the Russian users weren’t entirely sure.

Oh wow this is incredible! Thank you! The one below is the Ostwind II. I’ve seen it depicted with 2 guns on the side and with 1 on top of the other, it appears that the 1 on top of the other configuration is the real one.

In that first image it’s the Ostwind on the left and what I think is the Mobelwagen in the middle, but the vehicle on the right is the real Zerstörer 45! It existed!

Thank you so much!

Don’t thank me thank the Russians version of the site since there the ones who found it.

I know that, I’m thanking you because I wouldn’t have found the one on the Russian side which I don’t check because I can’t read Russian.

Fair enough I’m mostly looking at the English words which make it more obvious.

@FlyingOstridge Here’s your real Ostwind II + a 30 mm Wirbelwind.

The thing about the Coelian is that really it shouldn’t have been removed and replaced with an even less real vehicle

My issue is that’s it’s not remotely as good as what was removed, whilst the only alternative was placed at a dead and unusable BR, ironically only useful for those who have the Panther ll and Tiger 105 and thus likely also have the Coelian and thus have no need for it.

Photoshop.

The real image.

@war_Tinder. Damn that’s pretty funny.

Besides I never doubted the existence of the 30mm vierling. I even voted yes on the suggestion post.

Dammit, turns out it’s a photoshop because we can’t have nice things.

Redundant much?

From what I’ve heard about the Ostwind II is that the middle bit in between the guns shouldn’t exist. It was just a widening of the original hole.

This is still real though.

That vehicle on the right is a Wirbelwind with 4 30 mm Flakvierling 103/38 cannons. It’s called the Zerstorer 45 and before this image I assumed no images existed.

This would absolutely be a great replacement for the Flakpanzer 341.

Seems like Zestrorer 45 might have existed as a prototype. At the end of the day, the in-game Ostwind II is still a fantasy configuration that replaced the more real Coelian, lol.
