SPAA’s are an essential part of the game. The Flakpanzer 341 is a great SPAA, don’t get me wrong, but its performance against tanks (Especially heavy tanks like the IS3 and Object 279) way beyond its capabilities is crazy.

The T34 side armour is around 80mm, broadly comparable to the Tiger II’s in thickness. At point blank range, even a Chaffee or a Puma will punch through that side armour and he would have been just as dead. Reversing like that might have been worth it if the enemy on the other side of the rock had to reload the main gun after taking out the Scorpion, but this was not the case here.

All but one of the 9 kills I made in my first ever nuke I got, using the 341 on patch day, were either 1) glass cannon M18s or 2) heavies driving side on in front of me.
More recently, I had a 6-kill game in an 8.7 match using the 341 as uptier insurance. All I did was sit behind a corner all game, where I proceeded to melt two M103s, a Conqueror, a Bradley, and two others. And to think when I spawned the 341 in that game, some guy said “what the fuck is a flakpanzer 341 doing here?” Then upon killing the first M103 and Bradley within 5 seconds, he just said “holy shit”

That is precisely why it is using an F hull (& not a D) in this game although as noted above, someone should (re)bug report its incorrect roof armor

Not at all. Right now the Flakpanzer is just the icing on that heap of BS.
Anyway after playing KT 105 for the first time in 8 years that im playing this game and taking Coelian into lineup, I must say its incredibly balanced.
Not because it can front pen heavies.
But because it completly obliterates all those go-karts with HEAT-FS and howitzers.
A karmic punishment incarnate.

Indeed. I love this one and its current BR spot. All these speedy funcars melt like ice in a desert. Years after years most ingame nations used these speedy troll tincans to dominate heavy and med German tanks. While Ger had nothing to counter this. You never had a chance vs. these autocannon or heat-fs slinging speeders.
Not anymore. Flakpanzer kills them on the spot. No issues with slow turret tracking and non-fusing Panzergranate. Just bam bam bam and they drop like flies. They’re just not used to that Ger has a counter now. No more Tiger II vs. M18 and whatnot. All these funcars from Sweden, Italy, France can eat dirt now.

Its not just german heavies.
Any heavy was invalidated by the arty and go-karts with HEAT-FS.
