There are some, like the M163, that are pretty much air (and some light tanks) only, as they have modest pen at best.
no
yes
Some of the situations you can get 341 in and survive is just laughable. ZSU-57-2 would never.
Enemy were abusing me in chat after that one.
(Turn up resolution if YouTube plays potato quality)
it doesn’t need to have the aphe belt removed, just nerfed. maybe to the state it was before it got buffed for no reason
Yeah, nah. The pen it has it what it had IRL - see:
The issue people have is one that exists with all APHE shells in the game - they explode like nukes. The community was against any APHE change, so now you have to put up with 37mm nukes.
But really, the buff has been a positive one. German winrates in those BRs have improved since the change. Not just because of how good the 341 is, but because experienced players are going out of their way to use it. Well done, Gaijin.
Also: If you play Germany around these BRs, you know that German mains hate using SPAA. They will bring a King Tiger… get bombed… and then spawn in another King Tiger. At least with the 341, even if you spend most the battle nuking ground targets, it’s there to curve stomp Allied CAS, too. Yeah, it could always SPAA before the buff, but people that had the 341 weren’t playing it for just SPAA, they were off using other lineups. The increase in ground lethality has led to more SPAA being present on German teams.
As it’s not in main TT, really, how many players actually have this and can affect the general outcome of German stats?
I’d be surprised if many 341 players turn their attention from tank-killing (which gives better score) to shooting at CAS. And it’s not like Germany doesn’t have other main TT options for spaa around those BRs. Zerstorer and Kugle are both decent at shooting down CAS.
It’s all there in global stats for Germany 7.0 winrate. Compare with before the APHE addition.
Who thinks about score when killing things? Weird mindset. No one uses Zerstorer and most German mains don’t bother with Kugel. Anyway, the 341 has had a big impact for Germany 7.0.
Below are some numbers to digest…
Notice the change in targets for a recent month vs all time. A lot less attention paid to air vs ground.
And coincidentally the rewards per game (but of course no one cares about that…)

Nothing to digest.
You encounter far more ground vehicles than air, the 341 is on the frontlines taking the fight to all enemy vehicles (unlike most SPAA that hide in spawn). I focus air when I see them, but I’ll always have way more ground kills because I’m at the spearhead. Again, stop the weird mindset about rewards. Those of us who have Flakpanzer 341 have already ground out the German tree. It doesn’t factor in deciding what to target.
remove it completely.
Gaijin said it was removed and it would NEVER come back, however there’s still sh*tty veterans using it like they’re some kind of VIP users with exclusive access to something THAT GAIJIN said it was “completely removed”.
why buff something no other player can use? idk, it’s not logical, nor fair, why would u give something that isn’t real something that also isn’t real. atp just give it APFSDS with 200mm of pen, there’s no proofs of it not being able of carrying APFSDS since there’s not even proofs of it existing, just a random Panther hull with a wooden turret attached with Super Glue or smth.
Nothing to digest? Sure, ignore that the air-kill rate decreased by more than 50%.
Focus of players using the 341 changed.
And where did they get the pen values from?
Made up? or was there an actual source?
But I agree - buffing a vehicle not available to newer players seems in poor taste. It’s not like they were desperate for it to be improved - and in entirely the wrong way. Look at what they did to Falcon - went the opposite way.
Stop rambling on about things you don’t understand. Read what I said. The 341 deletes ground vehicles with its new belt. Ground targets are much more common than air. 341 players don’t ignore air, they just have upped their ground kills substantially. So the ratio was always going to shift towards ground targets. It’s not hard to understand. Or maybe it is for you folks who missed out on 341, lol. Let’s face it, the buff has been amazing. My winrate in 341 is over 70% since the change, so it has helped pull the winrate up of many a German team in my 1000+ games in it since the buff.
In the end, if you missed out on 341, that’s too bad. But be thankful Gaijin has given experiences players a reason to come and play Germany 7.0. You now get competent teammates.
Btw, there’s nothing left to discuss. I’ll revisit this topic with another video of the 341 doing 341 things in the future.
You are measuring the wrong statistic. You need to look at air kills per battle to know if SPAA duty is being neglected by Coelian players.
The all-time stat you have posted shows the Coelian achieving 0.44 air kills per battle.
The January 2026 stat you posted shows the Coelian achieving 0.41 air kills per battle.
This is a minuscule blip and indicates the Coelian’s performance as an SPAA has not gotten worse in any significant way. People are shooting essentially as many planes down with it as they were before.
The ratio of air to ground kills has changed, of course. This is not because air kills per battle have decreased though, those have stayed the same. It has changed because ground kills per battle have risen dramatically.
The all-time stat shows 0.41 ground kills per battle. In January 2026, that number is up to 1.57 ground kills per battle.
This is hardly surprising when you consider that the Coelian’s tank-killing capabilities have increased while its air-killing capabilities have not changed. Factually, the numbers you’ve posted disprove your own point.
There was a bug report to get the guns changed to the correct model, which existed in metal. As for penetration, Gaijin does not use any historical data to determine the penetration of any shell, since different countries use different penetration standards and conduct tests very differently. Instead, it uses a calculator that is standardised across the board. Nothing unique to the Coelian in this respect.
They will never do this, not in a million years. Free to play MMOs rely heavily on the illusion of ownership. If you take away from people something that they ground out or paid for, it immediately reduces trust and disincentivises you from grinding something. Just imagine, for example, grinding out a 45k mission score vehicle over nine stages while knowing that at some point it may just disappear from your account. No. They’re not insane.
It was bug reported and they corrected an ahistorical inaccuracy.
The obvious solution is just bringing it back. Especially the Coelian. While the other two removed German vehicles could use a model change to correct some of their glaring abnormalities, the Coelian is no faker than the radar-equipped Falcon because “a radar could have been installed”, it is no faker than the ToG II in its “ideal, intended ahistorical configuration”, especially when its replacement in game is the Ostwind II, another iffy vehicle that requires some historical generosity to include in the game.
But apparently the devs aren’t ready for this discussion. Maybe in five more years.
I’m not talking in terms of realism here mate, I’m talking in terms of keeping the game fair an enjoyable for everyone especially since players can no longer get access to the flakpanzer 341 or the panther 2 or the tiger 2 105mm. its not entirely fair that an already good vehicle gets a buff when no player after the event can get the vehicle that is buffed
I also don’t think that spaa should be used against ground targets to the effectiveness it is in war thunder. irl is another topic which I will not go into considering we are talking about a game. the anti-CAS is a good thing and I can’t disagree but we should not have to deal with 30mm-37mm nuke shells especially since 122mm sometimes doesn’t even do the damage those spaa calibres do.
That part was covered by sending it up in BR.
Yep. This is why they should be returned to the tech tree.
The community vastly prefers small maps (I don’t). SPAAs either stay in spawn, where CAS will easily annihilate them, or they have to run the gauntlet and hope their team mates will cover them. Often, the answer is no. As always, you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Do you want small maps? Do you want CAS to be present and SPAA to be its counter? Then you need SPAA that can defend itself for it to really be effective against CAS. Gaining map position to fire on planes that don’t expect you to be there is a key SPAA tactic and in most SPAAs you have zero control over whether you can get it or not, while planes have a massive positional advantage by simple virtue of the fact that they’re in the air.
Community voted to keep busted APHE, and this is the bill coming due. Same thing for the YaK-9. That plane is simply insufferable in GRB. But it’s what people voted for, regardless of whether they realised it or not at the time.
Erm aktually super glue was invented in the united states in the post-war era the germans were probably using some of their really shit glue from their ta-154 project
There are so many issues plaguing WT that need attention, but Gaijin goes out of their way to correct a “bug” in a weapon that does not really exist, to create yet another tank-killing spaa?
Gaijin is terrible at balancing and implementing changes.
