The only T-34 you can kill from the front is the T-34-100.
I was talking about the Gepard. Since I was talking about the 35mm cannon and how effective it is despite not having as much pen as the Flakpanzer 341.

I went and looked up the encounter I was half-remembering. It was regular Ostwind vs a 76mm T-34. So while not exactly what I thought I remembered, it’s still an AA nuking a medium tank through the turret front.

you can also kill the the ones with the early turrets, the turret cheeks are 45mm so you can pen them at short ranges

Yeah but only at very short range and when they already have their gun on you.
Not sure for what that is supposed to count. Under the right circumstances you can kill tanks but it’s not a tank killer that can actively fight tanks.
I mean you can only pen them at around the same ranges as the T34-100.
Dont get me wrong i didnt claim that they are tank killers, but just that t34-100 is not the only t34 that you can kill from the front

Interesting. I don’t see complaints about, let’s say, the Phong-Kong. You know, that SPAA sitting at 5.0, with a T-34 hull (which is about as useful at 5.0 as Panther’s hull at 7.0), with twin 37mm guns and a belt full of 87mm pen shots… At 5.0…
BTW, if you’re aiming at the Coelian’s strongest plate (well, the only strong armour plate), then you’re doing something very wrong, but that’s not the Coelian’s fault, is it? ;)

How you do that with 49mm pen? Only possible way I can imagine is hitting the engine and setting it on fire? But even at 100m the Jumbo .50 cal can pen the Ostwind “turret”…
Phong Khong has a huge weak turret that even .50 cal mgs can shred. Sure it can defend itself if cornered, but trying to use it as a makeshift spg would be a short venture.

BTW, it looks like everyone’s missing another major aspect of this vehicle: It’s been removed very long time ago, so everyone playing it today has a decade long experience with the game. How many of their opponents can say the same? How many have played WT for at least half the time?

“highly mobile” it’s a panther g hull bro you’re Sherman level, and the skink can kill tanks at its br, a whole 2 ranks below.
Skink is super slow and it’s 20mm guns are meh. The thing moves at 32km/hr MAX and the guns pen 35mm armor at 100m. What tanks at it’s BR (5.3) you figure it has a good chance of killing?
well from that statement I assume stuff with 35mm of armor and I thought it was 5.0, for the actually point of the tank, shooting planes it’s really good
