Did… did you think there was a magical bubble at 10 km high that protected you from all SAMs? Be happy it’s just ItO which can be managed and not something insane like Pantsir or something
Or I could be courteous and leave them for strike fighters.
None of them are good choices.
If they’re going to make the sim mode harder, then it needs better rewards, people will fight each other over hitting bases and ground attacks more so than usual. Especially given they made ground attacks destroy easier.
Sim had better rewards originally. Then zombers/event people happened and now it’s… well.
In my personal opinion, Sim is by far the harder mode to play compared to AAB/ARB/GAB/GRB. You have no ‘help’ (aside from the minimal ‘assists’ like SAS on aircraft that have them and if they don’t, good luck trimming), reduced awareness (even if you have MAW which isn’t always consistent), among a many other things. To this day I do not agree on the massive reductions in rewards for sim players. Some of us play the same match 1-2+ hours, sometimes the full 3 hours if it gets to that point. Imagine sitting through all that just to be screwed in the end? It’s infuriating.
To do that, it’s enough to take off and destroy two bases within 15 minutes — pretty easy to do. Of course, unless there’s a madman on your team flying with a full napalm loadout and bombing every base around, getting 100 points for each.
I don’t even have to die to the spaa? I go back and land. I’m not a “zomber” most of those are from a certain region, said region is also known for its bottling / cheating.
The arrogance is applauding. 400 games x 2.25 hrs per typical game equates to = 900 hours in sim alone.
And unlike most people, I like to play a wide variety of games, not just one.
That’s why I’ve gone back to playing STALKER 2 more, it’s far more enjoyable than WT, but still poses a challenge. Just as warthunder should. But they forgot the enjoyment part.
