So you are complaining about people base bombing in fighters because its preventing you from base bombing in a fighter?
Also Mig-23 (at least the ML, MLA and MLD) are highly competitive aircraft that are some of the strongest at their BR

Is the F-15E a fighter?
The role of “Strike Aircraft” ingame does not mean bomber, either. It’s simply a way of disconnecting it’s SP cost from the fighter SP cost. Also forgive me if I’m mistaken, but isn’t the A-5C a MiG-19 with a different nose, alongside the avionics required to fire Magic 1s and AIM-9Ps, which are both incredibly potent missiles? Also unlike it’s tech tree counterpart, the A-5C carries 0 guided air to surface arms.
If the F-15C and F-15E are both fighters, despite being under different classifications ingame, are the Shenyang J-6 (License MiG-19) and A-5C (Export Qianjiji Q-5, developed off of the J-6) fighters?

The other common one I bring up is the Sea Harrier FRS1 being considered solely a ground attack aircraft even though its the naval fighter/interceptor/fleet defence version of the Harrier.
It was basically a rant about fighters killing bases and the fact hes forced to TK people so that he can get bases. But with a mass of swear words

One case that I could bring up as to another few, A21RB and J21RB (alongside A21A and J21A ofc) both being fighters despite the A21 being meant for ground attack, but the Tunnans (J29 and A29 respectively) both being of different role, despite the only difference (which is the same difference with the A21/J21) is that the A29 has suspended armaments

the f15e is a multirole fighter, so yes. the a5c is not multirole, it is purely a strike aircraft, and a bad one at that. at the very least it should be 10.3. war thunders current state is constant uptiers, and the a5c cannot compete with anything at 11.7, it is slower, less agile, and worse armament than everything at that br

Anything with bombs is multirole if you’re good enough.
it’s just a MiG-21F with less options for ordinance, Also unless you’re just incredibly giddy for the A-5C’s RP booster, just grind it with the J-6. It’s almost the exact same airframe at 9.3 which is actually a BR now

Tornados are ground attack aircraft with a single job. Dropping bombs on bases. They also dont have napalm. They are also usually too slow to make it to bases
It’s more of a tactical bomber but WT classes them as strike aircraft. F-111 replacement
But the point he was making though, is that despite the fact its classed as a strike fighter in game and despite the facts you have pointed out, that it was made IRL to be a heavy ground attack variant of the F-15. It is still the strongest A2A fighter in the US tech tree at the moment
Tornadoes are not slow lmao, fastest bomber at their br. They have 2 aim9ls, and turn pretty decent, so can handle their own in a dogfight, especially with reverse thrust, it also doesnt really compress. How is it fair to go against this as an a5c
yeah ok, try playing the a5c tell me how that goes for u, even when it isnt compressing it gets out turned by everything.
obviously i want the rp booster? it is the only way to grind without it taking months. It is also far better than a mig21. it has best IR missiles at its br, and it has far far better flight performance
Tornados are slower than the F-111s, which also have 4-6x Aim-9Ls and can actually turn better. They are also usually beaten to the bases by pretty much every fighter aircraft at that BR range.
Compared to most fighter aircraft at that BR, they are woefully underpowered.
A-5C is a 10.7, most of the Tornado IDS are at 11.7. So. naturally it will be better. I will also point out that it is unfair to face the A-5C in 9.7 aircraft like the Harrier Gr1. How is a Harrier Gr1 meant to get to bases when A-5Cs are killing all the bases.

If WT was decompressed, the A-5C wouldn’t be facing the planes it does. It would be 10.3, if 9.3 planes weren’t stuff like the Q-5 (early), F-100, and Su-7.
That’s an issue for another time, but asking for warthunder players to not say biggotted things is like asking Gaijin to stop making premiums
