Fair Play: May 2024

Gaijin has admitted they have tampered with individual player rewards and progression, which they admit in this article. That is an acceptable thing to do, but it doesn’t stack up to your claims. You also act like the players themselves have gotten Gajiin to do it for them. If that last part is true, it is a VERY big deal, but I highly doubt it is true in any way.

It is against the rules to go out and say “report this guy bc I think he is cheating”

If you can’t prove that any sort of “selective bias” exists, then your claim means nothing.

Imho you should try these arguments within a church, temple or whatever.

Dismissing claims based on missing evidence works not everywhere.

Technically seen your argument is wrong too - as you don’t have seen all relevant data / mechanisms included in the MM - your pov is also just a “believe” / “trust” issue.

I’d like to remember you that i caught you spreading the “Don’t fight Yak-3s below 5.000 meters” myth - there is not a single primary source supporting your claim - therefore i recommend to relax in such cases.

Even if the “white collar” claim looks rather strange…

Always good to see more cleanup.

…but did you guys accidentally ban the guy who makes devblogs too?

Indeed - although there was at least some evidence to be examined… unlike this one.

source: Green, William (1957). Famous Fighters of the Second World War . Vol. 2. Macdonald. p. 103.

Also:

Part of a discussion at "Do not engage Yak-3" ... Source? - Page 2 - Kurfurst Discussion Boards - no source identified although words to that effect are noted in a couple of places, with some discussion as to where they may have originated - possibly with Green, but unable to confirm.

Also while the claim that the LW issued such an instruction doesn’t seem to have any primary evidence, you yourself did not LW accounts of being outmaneuvered by Yaks, so there is at least some circumstantial background information related to such a claim - again unlike this claim

Imho you referred to an official recommendation / order:

and i replied:

As long as you can’t present a primary source of the Luftwaffe High Command issuing such an order - all you have a claim of an author without any evidence, footnote or reference to a primary source.

In other words:

So either he forgot to add a reference (which could not be proven by anybody else) or he just invented the phrase to make his book more “spicy” to read.

As written in my initial reply it looks extremely unlikely that any HQ with Nazi Germany would have issued such a recommendation / order as it would severely question their racial ideology… But i explained that already.

I admit that this claim looks more reliable as the author is recognized as rather accurate historian:

But imho Graf is not the LW - and Graf has severe credibility issues as he was later accused to be a snitch for the USSR (whilst being a POW).

A curious statement - no he is not THE Luftwaffe, but he was commander of JG52, and the statement is what he said in 1944, not later.

Nonetheless there is evidence - hence it is not comparable to the claim made here.

Plus of course the old adage “absence of evidence is not evidence of absence” - so far we do not have any direct knowledge of such an order… but that is not the same thig as it not existing.

Love and kisses :)

You either let someone else on your account to hack for you, or you used a VPN while hacking for plausible deniability. If you were really hacked they would have straight up taken your account from you, and you’d be trying to get your account back from the hacker, rather than get it unbanned.

What you’re missing is the Yak-3(O)P (which I have yet to die in) and Yak-3U are both post war aircraft that face late war aircraft, while the regular Yak-3 should be 5.0 to face its contemporaries. I’m not sure it’s so much of an accuracy issue (although the energy retention is a bit suss) as simply being badly undertiered.

If you observe any air match, you’ll find Yak-3 pilots are almost universally terrible, much like wyvern and XP-50 pilots, which is how the status quo persists. The most OP vehicles are simply the ones that attract the worst pilots.

Is this because they get you in what you think are cheap manners?

Ahhh you think that people trying to do what they see others do, is them being bad?

The vast majority of AF camping that I see is due to greedy players trying to 3+v1 a guy who’s team is gone. Like just let the guy take off and give him a fight he’s not going to immediately lose. But no, they all bum rush the airfield on the marginal chance that one of them might get an extra kill and then complain about camping.

But there are a very few players who are chronic AF campers. And I mean they will not take any fight unless they have altitude advantage.

One such player, @taga_bumatay I have yet to see banned. I might make a YT vid on this guy if I get time, he is the worst of the worst I’ve ever seen. Check his replays to see what I mean. It’s like he has a 6th sense to always know where the airfield is.

Of course his top planes are yaks, and note the negative win rate on the Yak-3, despite the 10/1 K/D. You can’t do that well and not win without “passive behavior” (airfield camping).

@Stona_WT When’s this guy copping a ban?

I rarely die to any of those aircraft because the pilots are so bad. When I fly them on the other hand…

^^ I wouldn’t be able to score like that with literally any other attacker in the game. *edit Well maybe excluding jet attackers 1 year ago when the A-10 spam was going strong, but I’m not into jets.

Yeah, I call them overpowered because I fly them, and they are, and everyone knows they are. Get BTFO.

**edit You on the other hand can’t seem to go positive in any aircraft, overpowered or not.

Im confused, why am I being quoted in what seems to be an unrelated thread?

I also can’t tell if you were saying my post there was wrong or correct.

They are not greedy. They want the round to end, and they want to have fun on a pvp game. Just because you’re the last guy doesn’t mean you should get special treatment. Usually 1 griefer will do his best to extend it to 25m. The current state of the game encourages griefing and unfair play, helping the worst of the worst get their “fun” at the expense of players who simply want to enjoy the game. If you are the last guy left - too bad, either fight and try to win, or accept defeat and die, and if no enemy in sight - land and j-out.

Instead we have nascar around AF, actively supported by people who absolutely love the idea :/

About 1 in 3 will use AF AAA to fix his mistakes if he manages to get anywhere close to it, about 1 in 8 maybe will camp the AF and run the clock.

I am efficient enough to move the fight towards enemy AF most of the time. People will massively benefit from AAA, extending games that should have ended, and for what?

Any “fight” closer than 10km to enemy AF has to be “one and done”, because sure as hell as soon as trouble starts, a scramble towards AAA ensues.
Somebody dives towards AF when he’s in trouble every match. And I don’t even follow high speed dives because I know that guy will be going for AF if I do. That’s simple experience

People often disengage if I myself have to run towards AF for a short while simply because of angles of engagement. I try to steer clear of it, but my pursuer will quit early, because he usually assumes I’ll be going for AAA bubble.

The guy you mentioned took the idea to extreme. Avg player will simply use AF AAA as crutch here and there, but once again - this has very negative impact on the gameplay and decision making of the players.

I don’t dwell on stats as they’re not what I play for, but you however mentioning you not dying in your Yak-3P seems a falacy…

You’ve got 4 deaths on that just saying… 10 missions, 11 respawns. 13 air kills.

It takes a while to go through reports and ban them. They also (same as with many games) ban them in waves once a list of cheaters has been verified and compiled. An admin cannot realistically go through thousands of reports in the timeframes you want them to especially since many reports are just salty trolls who report anyone for anything.

I play on Xbox, meaning I log in with my Microsoft account, which itself has 2FA so I think I’m safe.

Depending on the situation, it is usually faster to ground pound the remaining tickets. Plus you get more sl/rp

Only planes that would have an issue with it would be something like a sea vixen which has no guns

It’s faster to kill the last guy, or for the last guy to quit.
People avoid ground pounding in fighters, because klit’s boring and laughably ineffective. With MG151/20 I needed around 100 shells with anti-armor belt to kill a single light pillbox.
Fun, fun, fun.

What’s the benefit to allow people to extend the match to 25m? Seriously? It’s not like we’re protecting cream of the crop, team players or dedicated players. This game design protects absolute scum ans allows them to grief.

There should be enough light aa, at guns, and trucks to clear the tickets.

I know that not everyone wants to ground pound. It is just my preference compared to diving into af aa or camping the af.
