I want to grind the british air tree for the typhoon aesa, and I was wondering if the best plane to do it in is the f4j? I want to literally turn my brain off and hopefully just base-bomb my way to top tier and I was wondering if this is a good vehicle to do that in?
I dont want any aircraft from 12.3-12.7 for obvious reasons, and just in case gajin doesnt add a 13.3 premium for britian, Im hoping the f4j would suffice for a easy grind if i just base bomb in it considering its awful for air to air.
F4JUNK is notably weaker than anything else at or around its BR. Even for base bombing as it lacks napalm, giving it a major disadvantage for reaching bases.
Unfortunately… There isnt a lot else on the table to replace it though, without using 1 of the 2 at 12.3 or 12.7…
Harrier GR1 is another option. It lacks flares, which can make the BR tricky, but the Harriers are fast subsonics and does it get napalm.
Though its no good for grinding Rank VIII or IX
We could really do with a premium tonka or for Gaijin to end the double standard for the F4JUNK
CF-188 is the way to go for a high tier premium in the british tree.
if you dont want a high tier one, Harrier T10 is ok but has major flight issues, id say the Hunter FGA9 if its on sale is the best high ish british premium
but you can always take four Mavericks and hit 4 AI targets on the way to the air battle merge, thats what i do in the thing. decent SL printer despite the F-5 spam
Sorry but I don’t want to have to try-hard every match just to grind efficiently. I just finished Russian tech tree grinding with su-30mk2 with a 3.7 kd, it was fun for the first like 50 matches and then it wasn’t at all.
You are directly not contributing even a tiny bit to your team’s chance of victory. You are playing an entirely different game to everybody else but you ARE taking up a team slot that a player playing the game normally, trying to win the game, would sit in.

Not my fault that there is bases waiting to be bombed in air rb lmao. It’s part of the game mode whether you like it or not.
And it’s one thing if your bombing in a plane that’s meant to be only a jet fighter like a mig 21, but I’m literally talking about a plane that is so garbage at air to air that it doesn’t really matter if I use it to bomb bases or not. And bombing bases is only really viable for lower tiers, which everyone is already doing in those tiers anyways.
And it’s not that bombing bases is fun. It’s like I said, I don’t want to try hard for hundreds of matches to grind a whole tech tree. Especially at a BR that I don’t think is necessarily fun in general.
You actively choose to not participate in the match. You’re dead weight to the team and cause your teams to have a harder time to win. That is your choice. You made it. Hope this helps.
It’s a fighter jet. It’s not a bomber. I’d have more sympathy if you were actually playing an actual attacker or bomber. I’d have even more sympathy if that attacker or bomber was tech tree and thus needed to be stock grinded, rather than a premium.
