i said it was likely because the Su-57 and J-20 both only have next gen missiles available for internal use. you are clearly the only biased one here putting words in my mouth and immediatley assuming things
never said this
yeah because gen 5’s would come with them from the get go.
they literally cant not give the J-20 missiles that wouldnt count as next gen and it was in the leaks as part of the first wave. it stands to reason they would add next gen missiles for the other 5th gens too.
lately they tend to give the same/similar class of missile at the same times, leaks do back this up too.
F-22, J-20, and Su-57 come first. other nations get next gen missiles on thier existing jets to compete with the gen 5’s which would already have them if you actually thought about it for more than 2 seconds
how hard is it to understand the J-20 and Su-57 NEED to get next gen missiles for internal use. there is no other choice
Idk the raptor is quite a large plane and Gajin famously does not model large airframes or heavy fighters very well for dogfighting so I can’t imagine it would be very good at dogfighting. I don’t think it would do well nothing about war thunder air rb really favors the raptor or allows it to play to its advantages, and it probably wouldn’t come with any of the missiles that make it so threatening IRL, not to mention its stealth would just be a gimmick like the F-117, especially considering I don’t even think it stealth would matter with in game engagement ranges.
They just artificially buffed the Su-30SM2 so its one of the best dogfighters at the moment.
This is largely what im expecting, that the stealth wont do much, but US mains are acting like it will be invisible to radar at any range and will just able to attack with impunity. Kinda funny actually
and I want to still be able to paly top tier. US mains “competitive” is usually massively ahead. I remember being told that F-16C with Aim-9Ms vs Tornado F3 (back when it was super nerfed) was “fair”
and I think Gen 4.5s vs Gen 5s will be balanced by giving Gen 4.5s a missile advantage.
On a single prototype in the early 1990s.
Never used it in service.
But I guess you will be fine with the F-22 just using Aim-9Ms then because it used them in service
