When was the last time you were over 7000m above the ground in ARB?
I would dare say the f22 has better rudder authority as well so in those close up thrust vectors fights it will be very deadly against the EF.

I mean imgaine: the AESA typhoons get IRIS or ASRAAM or whatever and are moved to 14.7 so… they just shit on 14.3 and below even more than they already do? Thats not just simple compression, but ranked competitive one.
if ive gone over 2000m by the time sparrows appear in matches things went very wrong, or im about to fire a sidewinder at a foxbat.

well it def depends on platform your not gonna climb in a plane that cant bvr but the F22 can def do bvr

We can rejoice in the fact it only gets 4 of those suckers, so not much changes. It’s not like entire teams will just be F-22 either. Either way, for now I expect BR to shift eventually, but not drastically. .3 increase to 14.7 for 4.5 gen, with stealth jets being .3 higher to 15.0 at the most.

Every game will not devolve into a dogfight/furball or whatever. AIM-9X is pretty much the most inferior next gen IIR missile there is. Things like MICA IR or IRIS-T is much better. R-74M is 50/50.
At present, IIR is modelled as having both 9M and R-73 IRCCM merged into one (e.g., IRIS-T SLM) so while it will be annoying close range, they’re still easy to decoy if you know how to avoid the two different methods of IRCCM.

I just fly everything low, I refuse to use radar outside of locking whats right in front of me so i just parry BVR tryhards by not playing their games
I 100% agree…the next step in IR should be VERY strong IRIS-T, MICA-IR, 9X, R74M…in these fights it comes down to who gets their HMS on first…and TVC has this edge!!!

Bit of a risky playstyle for top tier but i respect it
it works really well. the typhoon has my best K/D ratio of high tier jets by a lot. i mean britains other offerings that high up (other than the F/A-18a and CF188) are trash but its still quite notable how well it works.
i got my best top tier KD (F-15C MSIP) by going mid alt (5km) and being careful. got it well into prime Rafale/EFT too
i think you could do better in the Typhoon by going higher now that they changed contrails. but if you have more fun going low then keep doing it
I refuse to use radars so i get zero benefit from going high unless im in a fast for the BR plane where there isnt any radar missiles so i can orbital strike with IR missiles, or in a prop fighter
