If anything I lowkey expect the F-22 not to do too hot when it comes to game. Firstly because US mains are known to underperform. But also just the systems it uses to engage targets outside it’s radar’s FoV just don’t exist in warthunder at the moment. And being limited to head on engagements is honestly maybe even worse then lacking stealth, at least at the ranges battles in warthunder happen at.

it doesnt mean invisible, but especially against ARH missiles it should make it much easier to notch and chaff much more effective
From what iv just tested even the F117 is pretty hard to track with tws aesa at 30km+ and even when you got a radar track the missile itself had a much harder time getting a lock so i think the f22 will be fine

What US mains think is going to happen is irrelevant. Taking the jet at face value (± some technical observations…) is what’s important here.
Stealth isn’t going to be a major thing except for at the start of games where most AESA will somewhat struggle to detect it, not just due to its stealth but its jamming as well (as you cant really introduce stealth jets without ECM). Next, just because your jet’s radar can potentially see it, doesn’t mean your every day PD radar in ARH missiles will.
Well yeah. Can’t really fight against something with everyday sticks and stones if 5th gen isn’t rolled out to everyone at the same time. It’s well documented that these missiles are quite different from what’s offered right now, so fair assessment on Gaijin’s part.
Lastly, F-22 won’t have C-5s and the like for long or even at all I’d imagine. I figure that’s the reason 4.5 gens are receiving new missiles too.
You can’t exaggerate super high thrust-to-weight and thrust vectoring my guy lol. It could fly in circles around most jets in-game. Of course, entirely dependent on the skill of who is flying it. Can’t exactly put little Timmy in a rafale and expect him to steamroll teams. It will be the same here

followed by
“other nations to get next generation missiels for 4.5 gens to fight them”
It quite litereally states that 4.5s will get the better missiles

Doesnt state they will either, the wording implies to me that 4.5s will be getting new missiles to off-set the performance of 5th gens.
Which does explain why for example the new Typhoon and Rafale are at the same BR as the old ones.

If it, as good chunk of all the NATO planes currently are, will be strictly restricted to just aim120+aim9 (doesnt really matter which versions exactly), might as well not bother.

It would be balanced. by the felon somehow performing better. as well as a couple more faked buffs for the rafale.
gaijin doesnt understand RCS anyway, they think a eurofighter has the same RCS as a Tornado.
the raptor will be kept in check by the Eurofighters of the Luftwaffe, RAF and Aeronautica Militare as they will have ASRAAMs, IRIS-T and meteors while being able to turn with it quite easily, once the eurofighters have AMK kits added to the game the raptors only hope is BVR missile jousting so who knows.
Reduced visibility will be great for sim but wont matter in realistic mode either as the confrontations are too close

id contend that very high and fast performance, the F-22 has an edge due to limited TVC use + huge control surfaces and being made to comfortably fly at 50,000+ ft
You are jumping the shark by a MILE my friend…the 4.5 need these missile to fight at the 5th Gen level…because they are using 9X/120D R74M/77M!
It will be the END TIMES if we are using an Su57 with 77-1/R73 and an F22 with 120C5/9M -_- there will be INSANE outrage and back lash from a move like this!!! Gaijin knows this XD

thrust vectoring isnt much of a real benefit and the control surface area of a major eurocanard (not gripen) isnt too far off the raptors. AMK would ruin the F22s theoretical edge fully too
i doubt many fights will get to where this matters too much European missiles would make too quick work of a raptor up close

Tbf, the F-22 does also have an insanely advanced FBW, its most similar to the F-2, and we know how good that is even underperforming as it is.

50+% better wing area, and at altitudes where air is very thin TVC will help
TVC is EVERYTHING if you are shooting a AIM-9X /R74M…you think you are going to counter something like this at 1km in a slow speed Instant turn fight??? The IRCCM of the 9M and R73 atm are ASS!!! the next jump in IR Missiles should be VERY hard to beat in close!!!
