By losing lock are you referring to losing lock by getting fooled by chaff, or would simply turning off your radar to lock again invalidate DL?

you can regain DL at any point in time as long as the missile is in flight effectively, letting you relock anyone you want

Not really if you know how to fly it, even then, AAM-3s dont have that high of immediate AOA, and if you cant aim the gun without a radar sight, thats your own problem
They very much can. I dont have a perfect K/D in the plane, but it’s quite possibly one of the easiest 13.0s to use, and one of very few planes that Sparrows are worthwhile on. If you know how to play your cards, the F-2 is a beast, and adding ARHs doesnt change that, infact it worsens you since youll be more focused on AMRAAM slinging than actual logic, and inevitably will just tank your stats with it and youll end up in the same place, in the same amount of time, just with a much higher amount of lost SL
I’d disagree, it’s a pretty difficult aircraft to do well in due to the bipolar matchmaker. Good plane, harsh environment

I played it most often before the BR changes, and it still performs well imo, but in a vacuum of just 13.0 aircraft, its the best one in almost all factors except range (due to not having the AAM-4s), but before the Su-30MKKs, it was dominating in my experience, and yhe AAM-3s were practically free kills each match
im also very biased for it

Datalink for R-27ER is when another separate aircraft locks a target, and the launch aircraft launches the missile, the datalink between the two aircraft allow the R-27ER to take the radar return from the other aircraft.
I want to see that personally.
But yeah, glad to see datalink functioning for SARHs.
the relocking with solid lock is literally how the game models datalink for Fox-1s
