The F2-ADTW should have the FOX-3 right now. You spend almost $80 and get a piece of junk: no HMS, no FOX-3, not even incendiary bombs. Your only job in the game is to dodge FOX-3s from other 13.0 or even 14.0 aircraft. There’s no way this aircraft can withstand being spammed with FOX-3s,close combat is also extremely difficult without an HMS, you have to operate a set of radar buttons to select targets while dodging missiles from other aircraft. The AESA radar and AAM-3 missiles are simply can’t save for this aircraft in 13.0.

If the ADTW got ARHs, it would go to 13.7, and then you’s be dealing with Su-30s, is that what you want out of it?

The problem is BR compression, not the aircraft itself, BUT:
BR 13.0 and you have the second best airframe in the game, a powerful engine providing a climb rate of 280 m/s, excellent Fox 2 “AAM-3” (I personally call them “Terror-3”), a great AESA radar that increases your situational awareness, a good RWR that will allow you to dance the Foxtrot to the rhythm of Fox 3s aimed at you.
For comparison, the JA37DI F21, whose only noticeable advantage is the Fox 3:
- Airframe straight from BR 11.3
- RWR straight from the MIG 23ML - greater chance of stumbling in your first steps dancing the foxtrot while trying to notch ARH.
- Classic radar from the Viggen 11.3 version, it is TWS, but it is far from an AESA radar.
- Significantly weaker engine, 200 m/s.
The Viper ZERO on BR 13.0 is a precise surgical tool, while the Viggen is a blind heavy shotgun. Both can cause chaos in battle, but the F-2A ADTW is more competent in this regard. Of course, it’s easier to fire four Fox 3 missiles at YOLO and hope that one of them hits :D
I am an average player and have average results on my F-2A ADTW (K/D 1.3), but this is not the fault of the aircraft, only mine. I am still learning how to play better, but I feel that it has great potential and will only get better with time :)

Good. Go get your sl/rp by doing something productive for your team.
You should have experience doing this. Its not difficult in most cases. Even more so since you are not doing it over BVR ranges where there is more clutter.

Yes they can, you’re able to spot and position yourself miles better than anyone else because you spot them first
The only real downside with the F-2 is the compressed matchmaker, nothing else
I also suggest upgrading your crew
might improve your vehicle’s performance somewhat

So what BR do you want it with Fox3s?
- Both are premiums
- viggen has lower skill floor due to having Fox-3s
- F-2 is literally better in every way bar not having Fox-3s

average player statistics are a terrible source of information for many reasons
Mainly due to the fact that the average player is a complete dimwit.
They’re only good for spotting vehicles that are excessively overperforming in their current state (BMP-T for example)
Tell me one actual realistic advantage the viggen has over the F-2 besides the fact it gets amraams

It got better K/D which means easier and more productive grind and less stress about feeling inadequate unable to score a kill with an Aim-7F vs R-27ER and Aim-120.
Kinda all the things one would expect from a premium, wouldn’t you agree?

No, I expect my premium to be able to grind a tech tree effectively and be a good vehicle (while staying somewhat unique), this is what premiums are supposed to do.
The F-2 is a good vehicle and can grind effectively
The only “downside” is that it doesn’t handhold you and is sitting in a compressed matchmaker

From the outset, the Premium Viggen had a bad reputation and did not generate as much hype as the F-2A ADTW. Viggen was and still is bought by players with extensive experience, while the F-2A ADTW fell victim to novices who often have K/D ratios of ~0.6-0.8 and often take bombs instead of AIM-7M and fly to the base…
Thanks to the Fox 3 missile, the Viggen is more idiot-proof, but overall, the F-2A ADTW is the better fighter, EOT :)

I’ve been to the highest levels of both major countries, so I know these issues. The F-2 ADTW isn’t bad, but encountering too many ARH missiles is extremely frustrating. While you’re still trying to lock onto your missiles, the enemy has already gone into a defensive position and disappeared. The AIM-7M missile isn’t very good at tracking either, no matter how good your radar is.
