I bought two pack during a Japanese sale with the hope of grind all Japanese
vehicle within about half a year :)), with Fuji, there were no problems, although I encountered some rather annoying BMPT, but it was okay. As for airplanes, it was a bit discouraging.

Looks like Japanese date format, so you bought it in February then? The terrible meta was already in place at that point, next time I advise you ask people here before buying a premium since those are very risky with the imbalance and compression of the game

Well you should’ve asked people if it was a good idea. This was gambling basically. You got what you paid for, you just didn’t check what you were paying for.
Most SARH slingers are doing pretty badly against ARH slingers, it was expectable
The only thing Gaijin could do to improve the F-2A ADTW without increasing its BR would be to add the AIM-7P instead of the AIM-7M, but unfortunately, they probably won’t do that, explaining that Japan never installed these missiles on its F-2s…
To sum up, it’s a good aircraft placed in a very tight battle rating, which makes it difficult to play, but if you get the hang of it, it will reward you with great results. In short, it’s not a good choice for beginners.
Its BR should remain 13.0 instead of moving to 13.7 as you desire.
Just get the tech tree F-2A.

AIM-7P wouldn’t change anything.
It’s a significant improvement over 7F, just being able to relock your missile more reliably is insanely useful
Fox-1s with DL are an absolute pain to notch, especially the ER

Datalink isn’t modeled in the way you’re describing according to devs.
Once a radar loses lock once, datalink stops forever. If you re-acquire lock, the datalink stream is gone for that launched missile.
And SARHs don’t datalink in TWS mode.
