Britain doesn’t deserve another game nations vehicle that they had nothing to do with just because their military had a gap. If there’s a way to fill the gap either with a limiter eurofighter or some indigenous commonwealth vehicle then that should be done not a hornet or gripen.
We both 100% agree with you and both would much rather take native jets. But at the same time, we are both fed up having to fight in full BR uptiers and even with the best britain has to offer, with the best AAMs i nthe game, it could still be like that.
F-18 or Gripen though could be a viable Tyre patch until Typhoon is possible, but even the most heavily handicapped version could still be THE meta instantly and we fear its going to be delayed massively, and maybe not see the light of day for 1-2 years yet
Su-27 and F-15 will drop together, the counterpart to the F-16C may be the Su-24 or a ground attack version of the MiG-29
It would be the F-111E / -111F with the Su-24, but well apparently Gaijin thinks making specialist Strike airframes redundant due to feature creeping multirole-Fighters subsuming their job is ok. Even though they would serve as update ballast to avoid needing to implement higher performance fighters.

You are dead right - I have always figured that the F-111 and Su-24 would drop as a package, perhaps with another new air to ground mechanic or munition, eg cratering munitions, White Phosphorous etc.

Eh… I think the F-16s/Mig-29s/F-14s are probably all very close to 12.3 and probably needs to happen for decompression reasons anyway. so giving a F-16 better A2G, engines and I think radar and I could see it being nudged up. 12.3s are definetly around the corner with Fox 3s on the way. So not that big of a stretch I reckon

There’s a reason they picked what they did yeah.
Almost every tree has a ARH capable plane, or could have one very easily.
Japan can get F15J, Israel can get this F16, leaving Germany who’ll probably get the Dutch F-16 block 20 MLU and maybe an interim Swiss hornet or something stupid since that precedent has been set.

Yeah, I see this new F-16 getting AMRAAM instead of Aim-7 in a few months . But I seriosuly hope britain gets more than just AMRAAM slapped onto the f3 though
Maybe they’ll get lucky with a CF-18 hornet since skink set that precedent, but I doubt that they’ll get it until after the BVRAAM update
well, if that’s the case then it would be a worthwhile addition to the British tech tree.
I can definetly see F-18 coming either from canada or australia and they have said britain is getting more commonwealth nations, so its entirely possible, but not necessary. Both Sea Harrier FA2 and Hawk 200 could be armed with AMRAAM and I think both would actually be fun jets to fly and fight in. Hard, but fun.
Also by the time we see F-18s. I think i’d rather just get the EF Typhoon DA2. I think it would be strong, but close enough.
But for me the Sea Harrier FA2 would be perfect. The FRS1/FA2 should have really good cockpit visiblity. The Blue Vixen radar should be the best in the game, and should be for a while to come. It should be a decent aircraft, not quite as good as the Gr7, but not far off. Limited hardpoints but more than enough and can still slap a handful of bombs on there which are really handy to have in ASB. Won’t be meta, but wont be DOA either

Quick question, since no one is showing F16 dev server footage. Does the F-16C have HMD PD as well as HMD for the Sidewinders?
The decision to add the 29SMT with 4 R73, 2 R27ER capability is baffling, outright stupid even. Britain’s top vehicle is still an attack jet, France will no longer be competitive, and the minor nations are only in the fight because they got some F16 clones. I’m a big 3 main so this doesn’t affect me that much, but shouldn’t we give other nation players some attention?
We have taken one step forwards, three steps back. Instead of giving every nation some chips like they did with the F-16 rollout and subsequent patches, we are back to the F-14 era of one nation getting a dominating vehicle and everyone else gets a pat on the back if that.
But, it helps Gaijin’s bottom line. I am hoping they will roll out at least 12.7 with the next BR changes - the ground RB adjustments gave me some hope.
