Nah, it’s a one trick pony that can definitely get countered.
Yet it doesn’t have BVR capabilities, you have that gap in HDN to engage it properly if you met adequate conditions.
It does justify the discrepancy, Python 3s have a decent flare resistance as of now.
I’m not willing to elaborate further based on the rest of examples you placed, but considering how nerfed the flare resistance of the 9Ls are, it effectively is a OTP. Give it a go and you’ll notice.
p. s. Notice that even though i’m totally in favor of the new placement, it should’ve been fixed through decompression, not by the opposite.
The F-16A is just an upgraded F-5A at this point. Aim-9Ls are easily flared. I don’t know why you are whining about the Mig 29 when it gets R-27ERs which are better than even the Aim-7s on the F-16 ADF.
(False) And also Mig-29’s radar has the best radar angle limits in the game, allowing you to both notch and guide missile at the same time.
And it get’s an HMD which is a pretty handy feature even though you don’t have the R-73’s.
If they are willing to make a F-16A 12.3 just because it doesn’t have radar missiles, then I don’t see why they aren’t buffing the jets that also underperform in many metrics, the MiG-29s.
For some reason, Gaijin refuses to decompress the high tiers. Their excuse for long matchmaker times is not justified, I never had to wait more than a minute to find matches. I do agree that all the 12.7-13.0 planes without Fox 3’s shouldn’t be matched with planes with Fox 3’s. We should’ve had 15.0 by now already.
Python 3’s are wayy better than 9L’s, you can actually use them on head-on’s because they don’t have the long proxy fuze delay. I have used them on F-5E Thai Fighter and they’re really amazing in comparison.
