F15E vs F15I "controversy" and the real problem of the American main-based player

I know, the point is that it should be negotiated with Gaijin, instead of simply working around it and having a worse experience because of it.

Maybe it’s too late / complicated to change this now, and maybe it was never this to begin with because OG war thunder never envisioned the game would expand to… what are we at now… 44(?) separate tech tree’s and counting?

But this game would be infinitely better if you just had one crew slot bar all nations shared.

It takes so many years to max a lineups crews in just one tech tree that it’s actively putting me off starting new countries. The pure tedium of our current setup actively encourages one nation main-ing.

Me?

US main here. I would rather see more unique and interesting vehicles than just “X variant of this aircraft slightly modified for Y”. I’d like to see things like the A-37 Dragonfly, the WWII era prototypes like the XP-47. Even for top tier I’d like to see more unique systems than just the next copy paste vehicle in line. I am all for nations getting their domestic upgrades, weaponry, etc. This whole engine thing could have been solved by a researchable modification tied to a Rank IV mod for the F-15E. If it got a minor upgrade LATER in its service life, it should be a modification.

I think I need to remind you: the SPICE report of F-16D has been approved for a year and there is still no new information, so what’s the use?

A year has passed. The F-16D is still the worst F-16. Even the F-16AM has AIM120 and AGM65. The F-16D, which has not been paid attention to by anyone, can only continue to use the worst AAM and the weakened GBU15 with the worst aircraft to compete with the engine and F16C.
F15I will only repeat this historical cycle.

its more because when these countries do their upgrades, the US already has their sucessor/next gen aircraft ready

but because of balance that contemporary aircraft cannot come

It has a better kit in practice too. The F-15J(M) can ALSO carry AIM-120As aswell. It can take the exact same kit as the F-15C MSIP II but supplement AIM-9Ms for AAM-3s if it so desires and it can supplement AIM-120As for AAM-4s if it so desires. The AAM-4 is a sidegrade over the AIM-120A and the AAM-3 is essentialy a straight upgrade over the AIM-9M. So yes, the F-15J(M) does have better missiles.

Furthermore, it has a 440kg lighter empty weight. This might not sound like much on an airframe that weighs >13000 kg empty, but it amounts to around a 3% weight difference, which is minor but noticeable. It translates to a Max SEP (energy generation rate per unit mass) of 354 vs 342.

The F-15J(M) is the best F-15 in game

I’m not trying to derail your point though - the USA is very strong and people who main America do need to pipe down sometimes

I’m not saying IRL its the same. I’m saying in game its the same. That’s why people don’t flock to Israel.

Whats the use what?

Yeah, what’s the use of this? Give people a little hope and comfort in their hearts?
Then let people forget it for a long time and accept this pathetic status quo?

Judging from Smin words, it seems that this is indeed the case.

Huh?

It’s a 3 step cycle of the snails own doing.

  1. Israel playerbase small so low priority for unique content.

  2. Only ever receive repackaged Magachs or exports that can be given to others at the same time (Chaparral, M109, Giraf, Tiran, basically the entire air tree etc)

  3. No one plays Israel because they rarely ever get unique things

  4. Israel playerbase small so low prior…

They can break this cycle anytime by adding the unique stuff (and there is tons of it). They just bizarrely choose to keep repeating it instead. What’s mad is that they’d sell a hell of a lot more Kfir Canards / Ra’am Sagol’s if they started adding stuff that’s worthwhile to grind for.

Pretty much yeah.

Originally, if Gaijin had made an Israeli tree with all his heart, it would have many distinctive and fun things to attract people to play with it. Unfortunately, in fact, Gaijin would only make it perfunctorily. After a few years, the Israeli ground is still disabled, and the Israeli Air Force is also a more disabled version of the US.Air Force.

It would be nice to make it an American sub-tree, to maximize the unique and interesting things in Israel, without wasting time copying and pasting

Real.

When you look at the concept tree’s, hardly a fraction of the unique stuff, the stuff which should have come first, is actually there. (and what is, like Namer / Sholef, have pending / forwarded bug reports the length of novels that get ignored).

How they go about prioritizing content for this tree is just… it really makes no sense. You go anywhere on the forums and you see basically the entire Israel playerbase begging for an SPAA, so what do we get? A T62 copy pasta. More months of begging? Here you go, a 16th Magach lol.

There is far too much legitimately unique, domestic stuff to fit into a Sub tree. (I’d highly recommend looking at @ofekk213 ’s concept tree).

Israel has more than enough unique content to earn its place as an independent tree. The snail is just allergic to adding any of it.

I can’t find it. Is it gone? But I read the post on light tanks and one is enough for a vehicle using 60mm HVMS, the Eitan 8x8 APC is a good choice

I can’t seem to find it on the forums, but was able to find it on the Warthunder Reddit

(You can click on any of the vehicles to learn more about them, the work put into it is the absolute gold standard as far concept tree’s go)

So, your argument is the US should be limited on what domestic vehicles it can receive because foreign nations have few if any domestic vehicles?
