F15E vs F15I "controversy" and the real problem of the American main-based player

average german and russian main right here.

Probably, he got very agitated when I told him that chinese flanker modifications are better than russian ones, and that irl russia is falling far behind china and the west in terms of aerospace

Do you know what the PW in F100-PW-229 means?

The F-15A was proof that no matter how good of a plane that you give american pilots, if they can overburden it with bombs then they will. Not only that but they will continue overburdening their planes to such a degree that they tank Gaijin’s blackbox metrics to the point that they think that one of the strongest planes of the update needs a BR buff.

what does that mean? i am curious.

prat and witney PRODUCED the engine, the ISRAELIS implemented it into the f15I. it was a experimental engine.

Pratt & Whitney, a US company. The F-15I first flew in 1997 while the PW-229 existed long before then, a modified 229 was mounted on the F-15 ACTIVE in 1993 which although not guaranteed means it is very likely US F-15E had them before then as the active is a modified A

It was made for the USAF

Ok

Ah, cool

I’m pretty sure this has already been discussed, the 229’s came on the Israeli variant 6 years after they’d already started being added on US planes, no? If you go read the thread arguing for change, it is explained. Which would make what you said false, unless I’m understanding your comment incorrectly.

nope, first flight was 1997 and entered service 1998, so the math really isnt mathing

completely incorrect and a stupid cope, F-15Es were in US service with the 229 engines years before the F-15I was delivered

In Flight Performance? Sure, the F-15A had the edge.
In avionics? About the same.
In ordnance? The Su-27 singlehandedly floored its competitors, that’s why it had a decent chance in ARB throughout the end of 2023 up to june 2024.

Not to mention that its flight performance may be worse than the F-15A, but it was still competitive for missile slinging even on turnfights.

Agreed. The Su-27 was better than the F-15A. F-15A just lacked HMD, and the 7Fs don’t hold a candle to the ERs. Also the R-27ETs are nuts.

The FM of the Su-27 was bad but its not like it was an easy kill in a dogfight. It still has R-73s.

Where’s the F-15A’s HMD?
Where’s the F-15A’s kinetically unavoidable SARH?
Where’s the F-15A’s fixed radar that doesn’t lose track out of literally nothing?

I’ve seen that after all this time, you still haven’t pulled out the grind for the F-15A, im starting to obviously wonder if its on purpose to keep this position of yours, im eager to see how you’ll perform on a plane you’ve been glorifying for so long.

You reminded me of this clip. The Aim-7F just doing 7F things and not tracking. Both the enemy’s and my missiles decided not to track lol.

A total of 4 Aim-7Fs decided to just not track in that exchange in near perfect conditions at altitude.
