F15E vs F15I "controversy" and the real problem of the American main-based player

That will matter so much! The community definitely understands how to abuse small T/W advantages while conserving energy so the lesser T/W aircraft eventually loses energy enough to be countered about 1 minute and 53 seconds after the merge!

Sorry but all of this is theoretical hooplah that the community itself is too bad to actually utilize at the end of the day. The T/W ratio isn’t so much worse it will be hugely impactful and the agility gained from having such a large advantage in wing area would be immensely beneficial in a game like this

The Ta 152H is heavier than the 190 D12 yet it is much superior despite having the same engine.

And like others said, if it has a lower TWR then no excuse not to add it!

tbf I can’t imagine the thing was that good irl, it seems like an old FM gaijin never fixed

I think he is a bit confused as to just how much larger wings benefit an aircraft, just look at the dogfighting performance between a phantom and an F-104 lmfao despite them both sharing J79 engines

IIRC there was a combat report of Tempest MkVs getting outturned by it, so might not be too far off.

I’m referring to it having the lowest energy losses in the game for props to the point that its one of the only planes in the entire game (of which there are many hundreds, too many to imagine) that can use flaps liberally and long term and STILL come out with a positive gain from the flaps usage simply because it refuses to lose energy in fights.

Empty weight on empty weight (yeah ik it won’t reflect the ttw in combat but gross weight numbers have more variables) the f16c has a twr of 1.56 while F-2 has twr of 1.4, yes the F-2 has like 25% more wing area than an F-16A, so it will be very maneuverable but if the more current USAF f16 variants are added they would outclass the radar and we don’t even know if the f2 has hmd

Yeah that’s a lot more suspicious lol. But it seems that gaijin’s FMs really like wing area over other factors, so the F-2 will probably still be advantaged there.

Ok, the discussion is about Japan theoretically in another universe receiving the F-2 as their first gen4 and not the F-16AJ though, and not about whether TODAY the F2 would be whatever

Oh, in that case it would be completely broken.

If they add the Yf-2 they should bump it’s br a bit over the AJ, and then remove the AJ. 13.0 should be fair since it’s a prototype without AESA and afaik couldnt carry as many missiles and an f-15

Nah it should be 12.7 since its replacing the AJ

You realize even if the F-2 came into the game only having a normal F-16 equivalent radar and only having a normal 13.0 F-16 missile load it would still be broken as shit at 13.0 right?

Even if they did add it at 12.7 it would inevitably get sent to 13.0, that’s where it belongs

Maybe even 13.3 depending on just how good it’s FM is

It’ll accelerate and climb slower though, since its heavier. Besides, it would be really funny if it was 12.7.

Perfect example of what I’m talking about. Gaijin said the F2 was too powerful, it foreign whiners blame the US.

What, you haven’t had a singe coherent thing to say in this entire thread, on top of the fact that you are a notorious US shill, I am not confident in anything you write lol

They do have lrf but HE is so slow, you can just move 2 meters and it misses. Since they have to shoot their loaded dart off to wherever, you’ll know they exist and you’ll have enough time to react. Like, the AGS is just hilariously broken on account of having a crewless turret that’s basically just the gun. It would be broken no matter where you put it.

Exactly, it’s extremely mobile and has a low profile, crewless turret, making it extremely difficult to deal with one if he is any good and hull down, absolutely not comparable to the sprut lmao

you CANNOT just move out of the way of a 800 m/s shell, the AGS is mobile compared to other armored vehicles, nothing short of an F1 or top fuel dragster could move out of the way in time

also they could just knock out your giant gun with the dart

Uhh yeah, you can. They’re often only aiming for tiny exposed parts of your tank to begin with and if I’m already looking in that direction it gives me plenty of time to notice it at LONG RANGE and avoid it when im ridgelining… why are you trying to simplify this down like we’re talking about two tanks firing at each other at point blank in a grassy field and not the reality which is the AGS usually taking up a position hull down exposing only the turret?
