The issue is Gaijin will always choose the lesser variants to add to the US tree, then force us to grind the improved variant later. It’s repeated across the tree, but foreign mains only see the complaints because they aren’t grinding the tree.
The other issue is foreign mains cry constantly about the US getting a lot of stuff, but the Us has a lot to add. Everyone cries but then turns around and cries about US mains crying. Its absurd.
having the best round does not make it meta or competitive funny enough, you weren’t playing it either btw.
but the countries that buy the export versions make domestic modifications to adapt the aircraft to the specific needs of that country… hence the differences.
This is the main reason that I and so many others are excited for the F-15I, it’s so modifiied and unique that it’s practically a new aircraft in comparison to the F-15E, yet we are ridiculed because it has accurate engines but lacks all form of other modifications that make it unique, doesn’t even have the modified cockpit iirc

They might not be the best variants the US could get, but they are variants balanced against what others get.
Also… The US has a lot of variants of stuff. The snail tries to give each one it’s moment in the sun as flagbearer of the update. Sometimes this means you get something slightly behind the meta, sometimes this means you get something that defines the meta.
You can’t just give US the best possible variant of everything all the time, because that just means all the lesser variants get added obsolete and DOA down the line (or just never added at all which is an even bigger shame).

Eh not really, it’s a bigger f16 with larger wings so it’s more maneuverable but there are some tradeoffs like it’s weight, and there was a prototype without AESA that couldve come with aim 7 and aim9 then go to aam4
YF-2 could’ve come with the F-16C
And if they want Aesa they can get F-2A and we can get F-16C BLK 50 PoBIT with AN/APG 83, F-16E BLK 60 with AN/APG 80 and F-15C w/ AN/APG 63v2 or v3, and F-15E with AN APG 82v1
Still, what’s a better addition (without regarding subtrees), a proposal for an aircraft with similar capabilities as the competition, or a historically accurate prototype that would blow anything else out of the water, according to the logic of these two, the latter would be better solely because it’s historical
