No F-15A has great FM
F-15A has better weapons then the British F-4s by having the AIM-7M which is much better then the Skyflash and the AIM-9M which is all aspect and has IRCCM unlike the AIM-9G of the F-4s

Just my stock grind experience had about half a dozen games with it and not touching it again. The EX was fun but the A feels horrible.

ok chat lets make the f15 fight against f1c and mig23 in a full downtier, which can happen very often since a lot of player bought the premium version, sound good right ?
this is not okay at all, the air us tech tree at 12.0 have than enough, you have the block10 at 12.3 (yes, only 9L, but very good FM compared to the jets in this bracket), f18a at the same br as the block10 with 7M/9L and a decent FM and now the f15a at 12.7, remember that there is jets that doesnt have radar missiles and get a pretty bad fm at this br (yes, the kurnass 2000) and need to fight those, just stop 12.0/13.0 is already dead man

I was looking to buy it. I then did more than 30 seconds of research and went “nah I’m good”.

It is essentially an IR missile only gen"4" (more like 3.5) that is fine if you squint and look crosseyed on paper, but in practical terms gets ate alive by the matchmaker.

Judging an aircraft by its stock state is such a terrible thing to do.
but even stock the F-15A has flight performance thats worlds apart to the tornado or phantom

In an ideal world, they shouldn’t be moving it because its radar should be good enough to keep a decent and consistent illumination below 15km at the very least, 20km should be a true threshold for that BR range given the appeareance of ARH slingers.
Its not the case in-game, and its BVR performance is quite lackluster, as the radar loses lock due to inconsistencies once you maneuver around its illumination. Given its kit is 50% medium-to-BVR based SARH missiles, and the other 50% is IRCCM IR missiles without HMS, turns out being a Frankenstein without a role to fit completely. It can’t be a whole early game aggressor, nor a support plane.
Again: until at least its radar gets fixed, no one convince me otherwise the F-15A is just as overrated as the Falcon on ground.
