Hey, somebody else brought up the Kfir C.10 into the argument between the F-15A and F/A-18A earlier in here
They stated that the Kfir C.10 had better flight performance than the F-15 does…
…sure? i dont want to sound dismissive but i responded to this tho:
mentioning premium SU-30s and what not goes beyond scope of what i wanted to focus on.
I’m clearly not the brightest and not at the fullest complicity, I should probably get off the forums for now
no one is telling you to go away, im merely saying that mentioning Su-30s goes beyond scope of my argument, which was “18C early/15A comparison isnt so cut and dry”.
I’ve talking nonsense and I’m not going away, I mainly use the forums to check the suggestions and what other people has to say, I’m not smart for this type of convo but it is something to learn from. I just need a break from all the arguing and talking.
If you’re firing off 6 missiles, and all 60 countermeasures in a 1v1, then that might explain how you’ve fooled yourself into thinking the F-15A is better.
Decompression should start with the strongest aircraft.
I’m not.
I’m simply stating an obvious fact
Which would be the F-15A at 12.7.
Looking at a light 12.0-13.0 decompression only.
Tornado F3 (with a few bug fixes) should go up 0.3. (maybe the Mirage F1, but that becomes messy with the Mirage 2KD-R1)
F-18s (Aim-7M), Mirage 2KCS4/5 and F-16 (Aim-9Ls) should go up 0.3
F-18 (aim-7P), F-15s, F-14A, F-16s (IRCCM) should go up 0.3
Su-33, F3 Late (with buffs), F4F ICE, Maybe the F-2, should go up 0.3
(of course it wouldnt stop there and should be continued all the way up)
But the F-15A would defiently be one of the first aircraft that needs to be moved up with a decompression. Heck, whether the remaining 12.0s (like the F-4s) should even be able to see an F-15 in an uptier is a debate to be had.
No, not even close tbh. Compression would need to start with the F/A-18A/C and the Su-27/30/33.
the F-15A is stronger than the F-18s in pretty much every respect
eh, imo no. They’re not good enough for that at 12.7
F-18C Early could go up as long as it gets 9Ms
F-18A should get AIM-7P too
We need decompression higher up before those go up
You’re forgetting Su-27S
F-15A is superior to the F-18s and performs much better in uptiers (Because it is undertiered)
With the right decompression. Im hard pressed to see why most/all 12.0s should have to deal with them, let alone 11.7s.
Imo, the biggest failure of the last decompression was that it stopped at 10.0. Which meant that 9.7 only became even more compressed.
it needs to be 1.0 to 14.7 or not at all.
Though obviously, I wouldnt propose them move up to 13.3, until such time that 13.3 was a good fit for them, but they shouldnt be the same BR as the FA2 for example.
Yeah, was a quick and dirty pass
This is the decompression Id like to see:
Though doesnt address below 13.0
We need like 15.0 or 15.3 now.
That way we can really decompress
I think the simplest solution is just whenever they hit a point where something is too good to remain but not good enough to necessarily be a peer to what is above, is to just insert a 0.3, by moving everything above up 0.3.
So, for example, I think they need to add a BR for the F3, Kurnass 2000 and Kai, between 12.0 and 12.3. Probably a good spot to put the weakest of the ground attackers.
And just repeat that all the way down to reserve rank.
Eventually you’ll get decompression. The biggest issue with a lot of decompression plans I see is that they are constraining it to a set max, rather than letting that max be whatever it happens to need to be
The Kurnass 2000 should move down in BR, it has no business being at 12.3 whilst having no radar missiles in a fat brick. The F-16A can stay at 12.3 despite only having IR Missiles because it’s simply more maneuverable and more powerful engine. The Kai is fine as it recently gotten AIM-7Ms. I’m not sure about the Tornado F.3. Kfir C.7 should also move down in BR and out the Kfir C.2 at 11.3, it’s not gonna break game balance because the Kfir C.2 only gets 2 A2A missiles at a time and the C.7 is lacking it’s guided ground attack munitions considering its role of strike aircraft after the F-16A and F-15A entered service.
There is no difference between 7F and 7M in game, change meant nothing in this case.
Tornado F3 has a very good weapons fit, radar and RWR and is meant to have a very good CM count. The trade off is a very weak dogfighting FM.
The issue is that the CMs are massively nerfed and it’s missing loads (Phimat) and it’s missing a chunk of flat line speed due to the lazy half-baked FM it has.
If they fix BOL, add at least 1 Phimat and then sorted out the top speed, perhaps through using combat thrust like the latest Mig29 has I think, then it could move up to 12.3, compression would still suck, but that would be okay
To move up the Tornado F.3 would need all of that and the significant amount of lift it is missing to be added, the flight model is diabolically bad and is the primary limiting factor. It wallows around like a F-104 that can pull more AoA, except that extra AoA is pure drag and zero lift. Nose pointed up and the plane barely starts changing direction.
Yeah…
But Gaijin have stated that they will never action any of the remaining bug reports for the Tornado FM. Even though they know its very wrong.
So:
- BOL overhaul
- Phimat Pods (it could have 2)
- Combat Thrust
- A few other misc fixes
I think its about the best we can hope for currently.
