The radar on the f15a loses lock more than any other jet iv used. Im not even sure why most of the time.
For eg. I get lock, the enemy actually turns into a more head on aspect and its gone…
Looks like its errenously auto-switching from PD to MEM to “maintain” the lock, but the target should still be tracked via PD and then being defeated by chaff, especially large chaff or being affected by ground clutter.
Just needs to be bug reported.
But just pay attention to the top of the radar where it will either state TRK PD or TRK MEM. If it says MEM, maybe re-think the shot, or toggle the mode back to PD (I think you can do that)

the f-15a should not go down, it is the aim7m’s that have to be buffed. There’s just no justification for a missile to need to touch the target to actually do something… which when it does it’s only a critical hit.

Did the PL-12 and Derby get a similar fix by any chance?
Classic Gajin move. Leave a weapon broken for years, move down vehicles that use it outta the blue, and then a couple months later buff the weapon without reverting the OG BR change.

Nobody is rolling pl12/derby outside of ideal conditions that won’t happen in air rb though, unlike aim7s which have been rolled for years easily.
You can roll an aim7 from virtually any angle, not the same ballgame whatsoever, not even comparable
It doesn’t happen often by rolling for me, but by just changing turn directions, or doing negative G and then turning up etc. That I encountered many times (I have videos of it around here). Probably an issue with the autopilot. Derby/R-darter had this for a very long time, and now the PL-12 is on the same boat.
It’s a non-issue according to bug managers, so we just gotta eat it.
