additionally i noticed that they appear to have recently removed the PD from the phoenix’s seeker head, rendering it a CW for some unknown reason
They are compared to the AIM-54. Fakours are actually good at catching people off guard because they give little time to react. AIM-54s give you 3-5 business days.
R-27Rs are also superior to the AIM-7F.
yeah, idk what he is talking about i see up tiers all the time, either more often or just as often as down tiers. but i NEVER see my own BR. i also would have NO problem with the f-14s moving up in br, assuming the aim-54 got buffed as it should be, the B got the 9m and the 7p, and the A got the 9L

Moving the F-14A up in GRB would be a nightmare. It’s already sweaty enough getting uptiers at 11.7 without a lantirn or nose cam.
why would anyone play the f-14a in GRB? that’s just asking to get slammed by AA with your limited countermeasures and dated bomb load. literally the only reason you should play it in GRB is for anti cas
That’s what I do, I play CAP. But being up-tiered into IRIS-T’s and BUKs is never fun.

that’s fair i suppose, but that’s more of an issue with GRB BR compression than the tomcat, and i think it would be worth sacrificing it’s effectiveness in the tank mode to enhance it in the air modes

Air and ground BRs are not linked together for aircraft

i guess it wouldn’t HAVE to go up in grb if it got buffed phoenixes and the 9l, but i can see it going up nonetheless, and still wouldn’t be surprised

F-4J is 10.7 in GRB. Another example is the MiG-21bis being the same BR as the MiG-21SMT/MF. (These are ALSO 10.3) Gaijin does not care about air to air performance in GRB.

No, as the AIM-9M is both 1. Standard for 13.0 (most jets have it) and 2. The F-14B is one of the weakest 13.0s currently. A F-14B with 9M would still not be a strong 13.0.

not at all thats just straight cope F15A has better kit 9M and 7M with better radar and flight model
