I mean everyone with some top tier experience knows how strong the Rafale is after the like 5 billion buffs it got with the last update. It’s easily a big contender for the best 14.0 aircraft.
Ah yes, the plane that shows up once every blue moon since no one even plays France is far superior to the F15E/I spam with the AIM 120Bs.
Let me guess, you also think the Grippen is the best jet too.
The undisputed king of close/medium range fighting vs a one trick pony BVR fighter that has it’s one trick now contested by the EFT and Su-30SM.
Yes I’m picking my rafale over my F-15E/I.
I don’t discount the MICAs, they are quite literally the biggest threat within 10km, and those Magic 2s are practically unflareable from behind, but that’s only in a niche setting. In 1v1 Tournament style, yes the Rafale will dominate, just as the Grippen had dominated that theatre, and Mirage as well. However, go outside the Tournament playstyle, and the F-15E/I is the big baddie. BVR engagements, Pubs in ARB and GRB, the F-15E/I with AIM 120s are the superior aircraft.
Grippens can only do so much with it’s 4 Fox 3s and underperforming radar (compared to F-15E/I).
Rafale has a chance if it can break into the 10km range, but the problem is, is that the F-15E/I can climb so bloody high, go well beyond Mach 2, that by the time you can get a lock, either the F-15E/I is already spamming AIM 120Bs, or the plane is flying away from you at an unfathomable speed, and notching.
Eurofighter is in the same boat as the Rafale. Sure, the Eurofighter can turn real good, but it cannot contend with a F-15E/I that is in bloody orbit.
Sure, I’ve seen F-15E/Is being shot down, but that’s because of three things.
1: classic American main: fly high and straight into battle without thinking. Basically how people played the F4S when that was meta: fly high, spam as many missiles as you can, if you get eliminations, yay! If not, boo! Fly back to base, or accept the incoming missiles.
2: deciding to fly low. Why? God knows why, they decide that being exposed is a very terrible strategy, so they fly low with the other jets and then discover that they are really bad at dog fighting. Proceeds to get MICA’d and cry on the forums that France is OP.
3: former wallet warrior: they spent so long grinding in the F4S to get the meta jet, but has not learned a bloody thing about anything, beyond bombing bases and crashing to get into a new match and repeat that they forgot that part of the game requires to use a missile and use countermeasures, both of which they don’t have keybinded.
I think the Eurofighter has more of a chance against F-15E/I than Rafale.
Because he’s saying most BR ranges in top tier ARB has mostly been dominated by US aircraft… now even 12.7.
ok he can make another post if he wants to talk about high top tier
this isnt about rafale or f15i
It would be a lot easier to take the thread seriously if creator didn’t have a certian history. Seems like everything that kills them suddenly is either OP or ruins the BR bracket.
OP: American prem jet ruined 12.7
Me: American premium jets not only ruined 12.7, but have ruined everything from 9.3 with the A-10, all the way to top tier.
You: what does talking about American jets have anything to do with the original post about American jets?
were talking about the mig23mld and f18 early
your non sense derails the topic into top tier bringing rafales and f15i
I think both are equally capable for different reasons
You can blame the genius for saying the Rafale is broken. I told him he’s wrong. My point was that America in general is absolutely broken, and that the premiums (A-10, F-5, F-4S, and now the F-18 premiums) are unbalanced compared to other nations. Then I proceeded to give examples that provides why America is unbalanced, with AIM 9Ls appearing at 9.3, with how America dominated (what was) top tier with the AIM 7s on the F-4S, and how America is still uncontested at top tier with their AIM 120s.
I didn’t derail the conversation just for my own convenience. I brought in a point to defend OP’s original point: America is unbalanced.
Some other guy wants to bring up the Rafale. I put him in his place. You’re the one acting like he doesn’t get the point.
youre responsible because you continue
Not my fault that some person wants to act like poor America isn’t clearly the most unbalanced nation in Air. It’s always the weirdos that bring up an extremely niche way to make something seem overpowered. He wanted to act like a jet hurling a missile at close range makes it so that is more OP than the definition of a missile boat.
Also, in case you haven’t figured it out, you also derailed the conversation. Now we are arguing semantics since you wanted to be like, “but we are not talking about 11.7” while you are not talking 11.7
Why did they put the sweden F-18 at BR 14 and others at BR 11.7???
So weird.
Just because they’re 12.0 doesn’t make them really 12.0
😿
Regardless, stuff at that rating shouldn’t be facing the F18 on a 1:1 rating. Whether you like the mig 23 or not, it is shafted by this addition, and it is one of the better options at the rating. There will always be an option at the upper end of a rating, Mig 23’s about where it can be in the current compression, and does not warrant ignoring the number of other aircraft shafted by this implementation (host of harriers, host of tornadoes from multiple trees, several Russian attackers).
The F18 in question should have been 12.7 if they aren’t going to do something about compression and the sorry state it leaves the game in.
Yeah rafale is the biggest cancer I’ve faced
I agree the F-18 should have been 12.7. But the focus should be on the F-18 being too low and not that the Mig-23MLD is in some way suffering more than anyone else. Its probably suffering the least out of a lot of 11.3/11.7 aircraft that are being dragged up into the premium spam at the moment.
It gets the best flight-model F-18, and has access to MRAAMs.
I think it should be 12.3 in GRB.
