J7D is like a mig21mf with better missiles, it can’t change too much when it against the F5C, whatever PL5/7 could be easily impacted by flares as R60.
The issue is when MIG21BIS at 11.0, you can’t make J7D at the same BR, maybe F5C could add AIM9J as F5A, I promised almost 99% players don’t know that F5A(CN) has AIM9P but at same BR
The PL-7 has better flare resistance than the PL-5B. I run 2 PL-5Bs and 2 PL-7s because there are just as many situations where a PL-7 is better than a PL-5B as there are situations where a PL-5B is better than a PL-7.
The job of the PL-7 is not long range shots, it’s insane dogfight performance.
There isnt a missile in the game below 12.0 that takes more than 1 flare to defeat … You dont even need flares or even hard turns to defeat AIM-9E
AIM-9M on the A-10C at 11.7
Magic II on the Jaguar IS at 11.3
R-73 on the Su-25BM at 11.3
Can defeat those or stop the shot in 9M’s case with 1 flare in many cases headons being a single example but there are others especially if not supersonic
So by your logic a one off rare chance one tap flare means every missile on game can easily be flared with a single pop.
Yeah no dude.
J7D was perfectly balanced at 11.0, i don’t know why they lowered it to 10.7 and hasn’t lowered the A5C too that is still at 10.7 having to try to outrun F4E and Tornados that have a better acceleration than A5C to get bases on the slight uptier (which happens a lot), and facing R24R from Mig23ML on full uptiers
